OPEN TO LONGER TERM STAYS. Message me to inquire // My second floor home here in Astoria is beautiful, clean, cozy and sure to provide an oasis in NYC. N or W trains (3.5 blocks away) have you in Manhattan in 15-20 minutes and to Times Square in 25 minutes. The kitchen is brand new with beautiful appliances. You'll fall in love with this bustling Astoria neighborhood (known especially for its Greek food) and get to experience a true local NYC lifestyle with the option to also be a tourist.

The neighborhood has everything you could want or need and it's one of the safest parts of all New York City (don't take my word for it - check out a crime map for the area!). Restaurants in this area are awesome. Astoria is well-known for its Greek community and Greek food, so this is definitely the place to try that cuisine -Taverna Kyclades is the most famous one and has an hour wait pretty much every night but they give you free wine while you wait. If you aren't feeling Greek, you can grab amazing sushi at Watawa or a bowl of bangin’ ramen at HinoMaru Ramen. The popular Brooklyn Bagel and Coffee Co is also around the corner and a great chance to get that famous NYC water bagel. Queens Room and QWNS CAFE (a new addition to the neighborhood right by the train) have the best coffee in the area (and both are great places to get wifi and some laptop work done). You can also save money and make coffee in my coffee machine or plunger/French press using the coffee provided! Martha's Bakery (also on Ditmars) opens early and has amazing freshly baked treats for morning, afternoon or evening. Lefkos Pyrgos is a super tasty local Greek bakery that has been in the neighborhood for a long time (get an assortment of Baklava and enjoy!). For dinner and exceptional cocktails, hit up the brand new Ninos AQ (half a block away). The food is creative, clean, and tasty and the atmosphere is very cool. Food truck food in the neighborhood is also on point. There are usually three trucks serving up delicious (and cheap) food parked at the intersection of Ditmars Blvd and 31st Street. The Bonnie is a fun music venue, with great drinks, a great vibe and a garden in the back (with a taco truck) open when it’s warm. For late night pizza, get an “artichoke slice” from the famous Artichoke Pizza on your way back from the subway.

Astoria Park is a great place to run, walk, and/or view Manhattan and the water from the east. There are yoga studios within walking distance, Astoria Park for a walk or run with river views of Manhattan, hair salons, nail salons, grocery stores, 99cent stores, quirky little boutiques (my fave: The Brass Owl), and thrift stores (my fave: Beacon’s Closet).

I call New York City my home when not on the road. Currently I am in Germany with my fiancé, Nik, and our little dog, Wolfie. I am an opera singer who travels frequently and prefers the coziness and cost of an Airbnb to a hotel. I love exercise and am a bit of a foodie. I've run three marathons and was a rower in high school and college. I love being outside, exploring new neighborhoods, grabbing a really good coffee or glass of wine, and meeting new people. In December 2017 I got the cutest little toy Australian Shepherd, Wolfie. He extremely adorable, ridiculously friendly, and very chill. If we happen to be in town when you stay at my NYC home, we would love to meet you! If we end up connecting through Airbnb, I can promise that I will be the most low-maintenance guest you've had, and take extremely good care of your place, treating it as I would my own home. As a host, I am extremely attentive and accommodating. My places are extremely clean and thoughtfully decorated - not just in my opinion, I swear! I love my home in NYC and I want my guests to feel welcomed and comfortable. Looking forward to meeting you!
