A very comfortable flat with lovely decor. A scenic walk from the centre of the city past Arthur's Seat. Great for two nights at the Edinburgh Festival. Thank you for our stay.

We had a great stay at this lovely apartment during a short trip to Edinburgh - the apartment had everything we needed and more for our stay. Would definately recommend to anyone who needs comfortable, spacious and clean place to stay! The bed is also extremely comfy! Having appliances and amenities such as hair dryer, iron, shower gel and shampoo etc also made this apartment that bit more homely!

We stayed at Lampros' flat for two nights (three days) for the Edinburgh marathon. Guests were my parents (who enjoyed the comfort of the giant kingside bed) and I who camped out on the sofa (which was comfier than by bed at home!) On arrival at the apartment we were a bit hesitant as the building itself is very old/dark; particularly the entrance hall. However once we had entered the apartment our perceptions were totally changed as we were treated with a lovely, big, clean space. The apartment itself had many quirky/traditional features, and it's clear the owner has made a grand effort to modernise it which keeping its character. Communications from Lampros prior to arrival were excellent and we didn't need to go back to him with anything as he made everything so straightforward before we arrived. There was coffee, tea, sugar, cooking spices and oils.. much more than we would have expected! Location was brilliant. About 10 mins on the bus into the city centre or 25 mins walk, which passes Holyrood park and lots of lovely buildings. Parking easy round the back of the flats - very safe and secure. The only small downside about the stay was the street noise which lasted until about 1am(ish) each night - imagine not usually this bad but a lot of people travelling in/around town for the marathon. There was also a VERY slight smoky smell in the apartment which we concluded may have been from the flat downstairs.. but nothing major! But aside from that, our overall our experience was great. Would definitely book again/recommend!

My partner and I were initially sceptical of the distance between the flat and the city centre, as we had ideally wanted to be able to walk everywhere everyday to see and experience as much as possible. Having looked at multiple options and many different accommodations, we decided on this beautiful little gem, and agreed that being slightly further out was worth it for the quality and size. We were absolutely not disappointed. When booking this flat, there was a small part of me thinking that the pictures must be too good to be true, when in fact, they do not do the flat justice. It is beautiful and could not be more accommodating. Check in and check out was a piece of cake, with very detailed information having been sent over prior to our arrival. We actually decided that despite our plans to go out the night we arrived, we would stay in and enjoy the flat. We couldn't have been happier here and would recommend this flat to everyone who is visiting this beautiful City. The flat turned out to not be as far away as we thought, and is probably about a 10 minute walk from the entrance to Hollyrood park and a 20 minute walk from Hollyrood Palace... had the weather been on our side, we could have walked this every day (you don't go to Scotland for sunshine!) Overall... beautiful. Thank you Lampros for a beautiful flat to accommodate a beautiful holiday.

Sarah and I are originally from Houston, Texas but moved to London (work transfer) in 2012. After a couple years we decided we'd take a break from London and practice our French in Paris. We ended up staying almost a year before returning to London, none the better at French. Et voilá.

During the first month back in London, we took a weekend holiday to Edinburgh. We both fell in love with Edinburgh within 5 minutes of arriving at Waverly Station. The following month we returned and stayed with the same Airbnb hosts for 4 weeks -- during which we decided to stay and not return to London.

FUN FACT: Sarah and I were featured on a popular American television show on the network HGTV, called House Hunters International. We filmed in Houston and London, as the premise of the show follows expats as they find a new property abroad. For those who are familiar with the show, make sure to ask us about it and we can spill all the secrets of the show. And for those guests who are interested, we have the episode on DVD. But please, no autograph requests :)

We have been using Airbnb to travel since late 2011. In 2015, we decided to start hosting guests in our previous flat. In November of 2016, we bought a flat with our future Airbnb guests in mind! :)

There's nothing more that we enjoy than to host guests while they visit this magical city. We love meeting people from all over and sharing stories and adventures. Our goal as hosts is to make the guests' experience all the better!
