This is a great location for the northern entrance into Mt Raininer National Park. The house comfortably accommodated 10 of us; was well stocked with all sundries for the group for the duration of our stay. The house and the surroundings also made for excellent photo-ops for the group. It has a serene cabin-in-the-woods feel to it. The one qualm we had was that we had zero communication from the host throughout the trip. (Host was responsive until the week before the trip and gave great recommendations for dining options, but no communication during the trip which was unexpected). We did not get a response when we informed about having checked in. We also had to contact them to report a broken lid holder for the hot tub - and received no response until 10 days after we checked out, mainly to request money for the damage. This marred what would otherwise have been an excellent experience.

The cabin seems to belong to a cabin rental group. When we arrived the hot tub was cold and we could not access the wifi. I called and the person on the phone gave me the accurate wifi information and told me that the hot tub was flushed and would be warm around 7, it unfortunately took until the next morning to warm up. The following night we tried to grill with the small grill and the gas ran out around 7pm, I called and left a voicemail but did not get a call back. Penny was nice enough to reimburse some of the cost to us, however the rental experience was not great and while the house is nice, there are stains on carpet and curtains in addition to our primary issues. We did enjoy our stay but I prefer to be honest and manage other's expectations.

I hosted a Bachelorette weekend at the lodge. It was a perfect space for our needs. The kitchen had all of the items we needed to cook, and the hot tub was lovely! We were a short drive away from several scenic hikes. The lodge had a great table for board games with plenty of seating!

This is a fantastic house to stay in. Secluded, yet minutes away from a small city for grocery shopping, fuel and other needed items. There is a small town closer to the property, and it has a great tavern and convenience store. This property also is close to major ski resorts and (best of all) Mount Rainier National Park. The home was clean and ready to go when we arrived. The Wi-Fi was fast and great to have since cell service is a little spotty up there. Communication with the managers was very good and everything was laid out as clearly as possible. I would definitely recommend staying here and we look forward to renting this place again. Don't pass this one up.

This cabin is perfect for a winter getaway. We loved the open feel of the living room (high ceiling and lots windows). It was so cozy and intimate, especially lounging with the fireplace going. One of my favorite things was sitting with a cup of coffee on the front porch swing! We had a toddler with us, and would recommend a safety gate for anyone traveling with younger kids since the stairs to loft are tempting for young ones.

We had a 5-star stay at the Lazy Elk Lodge. Josh had every thing in order and provided clear instructions for our stay. The lodge is aptly named--we saw a small herd of elk grazing on the property 2 out of the three mornings. The location was perfect for our mini-ski vacation at Mt. Crystal. We also drove right by the entrance to Mt. Rainier National Park on our way to the ski resort. The closest restaurant is Nches about 4 miles away. Very friendly service and decent food--we highly recommend the reuben sandwich. Otherwise the Lodge has every thing you need to eat in. We would definitely stay there again.

This is such a great place to live and I get to help manage many vacation rental homes here and around the area, plus some small inns and resorts. From small and rustic to large and palatial. We have our own trained housekeepers and maintenance peoples. We are open by phone long hours everyday of the year, and have 24/7 after-hours service too.
