Emil has been very responsive with our questions prior to our trip.
We stayed 4D3N at Love's resort, room is spacious and overall good despite issues on cleanliness e.g. shower's drainage not working well, found cockroach feet on the towel, and trash bin was not cleared while cost include cleaning fees. However, it was a very bad experience for us due to the rude treatment from the resort's staff:
- whenever we request for something, the answer is a default 'no' without questions asked, only when we explain and provide the reason, they'll later on accommodate our request (we only asked for few) e.g. found a cockroach leg on the new towel provided, my boyfriend asked for replacement the staff said no, we will only change the following day, not even a question of why we're requesting such. Only when he showed the cockroach's leg, they agreed to change; requested for a 'tabo' answer was an immediate 'no' we don't have any and we don't provide such because it will be used for washing clothes. Provided the reason that there's no bidet in the toilet then they agreed to give one
- different treatment vs foreigners - (breakfast is included in this package) restaurant staff walk over to the table of foreigners to give out the menu, take their orders, and ask for their drinks, while for us, whenever we go to the restaurant for breakfast, we have to go to the counter to give our orders else we will starve waiting for our orders to be taken
- requested once if possible to have an earlier breakfast due to very early planned activity, answer was 'no' we can't accommodate, we only open at 7:30am, no alternative options provided.
Have travelled around Philippines and other countries, have used airbnb in Philippines few times, but this is the first time I've experienced such BAD, VERY BAD treatment and sadly in my home country.
