Cozy camp located on a beautiful pond in central Maine. Quiet and private location. The camp is a great, relaxing summer retreat. The canoe, hammock, grill and fire pit were everything my wife and I needed for a two week stint on Bear Pond. The two local farms had amazing late summer produce, local hikes were mild but entertaining and the coast and Portland are only a short drive away. Neighbors are slightly closer than I imagined, but were hardly ever present so it didn't matter much. And the loons! I would happily revisit.

A perfect getaway from the city. Chelsea's cozy cabin has a perfect and quiet location just by the beautiful lake. It's very well equipped - you'll find everything you need with a little extra. Even though there are other houses nearby, thanks to the trees surrounding the cabin you'll definitely have your privacy. Chelsea and her parents made us feel welcome and we already want to come back :) Thank you for this amazing experience!

We loved the camp and the location, it is in a private spot on the pond. Loved the loons and the fire pit. It was quiet and peaceful, we appreciated the canoe and we brought 2 kayaks so we could all go out together. Climbed Bear Pond Mt. which has a great view.

If you're looking for the ultimate Maine camp experience, this is it. Look no further. From the dirt drive approaching the camp, to the prevalence of pontoon boats and loons, this had everything I could have imagined. The lake was warm, the neighbors friendly, and the firepit and canoe were huge highlights for us. Chelsea's parents live next door and are available for questions about the area and general friendly hellos. The lake is very clean and the little private sand beach made swimming and wading easy for us. Even on the one rainy day we had, we were able to relax in the comfy chairs, read, and enjoy what was around us. The cabin stays cool even on hot days, and we loved keeping the windows open. Hartford proper is small - try the two farm stands they recommend before you head on down to Hannaford's (Rickers and Nezinscot). You may be able to stock up on farm-fresh produce, dairy and meat and have very little to buy at Hannaford. We didn't eat out - there was too much good food to make at the camp. The camp will comfortably sleep 5, and although it's small, they've made sure the sleeping areas are easily made private. The lake is shallow, so the water is very swimmable, and we enjoyed some nice hikes on the small mountains in the area. The kitchen has everything you could need in a camp and we even got to delight in the wood stove on a particularly chilly night (they provided very thorough instructions for its use - don't worry!). Chelsea was responsive and detailed and we really couldn't have asked for more from this experience. Thank you!!

We had a great time at the Pond! It was peaceful and quiet. Neighbors are near but it's still private. The hammock, canoe, and hiking trails nearby were favorites. We loved the cabin as well. Thanks again!
