We loved staying in Yvane's cottage. It was charming, the view and the garden areas were lovely, and it was close enough to many of the places we wanted to see. Yvane is a lovely hostess, very friendly and helpful. You will love staying here!

Yvane's cottage was a perfect retreat during our journey through Europe. We stayed for two nights as we were driving from the South of France to Paris and wanted to see Dordogne. Yvane was the perfect host - so very sweet. She lives on a house that is located on the same property as the cottage so she is very easily accessible if you need anything. She was very flexible with us, considering we arrived several hours after planned. She showed us around the cottage and even stopped in the next morning to check on us. The cottage itself is much bigger than we expected. So cool, too - It's built of stone with beautiful high ceilings and wooden beams. Loads of great books to flip through, and travel guides for the area. There is a barn attached, which is used for small theater productions and has a second bathroom. The area is stunning French countryside. A bit out of the way but absolutely worth the effort. Beautiful hills, farms, sunflower fields, meadows. We were sad to leave and hope to come see Yvane again! Next time we will stay longer than two nights.

Yvane's place, a little out of the way, is well worth the effort, and very beautiful and peaceful in its setting. It was larger than expected, well equipped, comfortable, and full of character. My wife was unwell, and this location and Yvane's considerate hosting made it ideal for recovery. But for a more active break, it would also be an excellent starting point for the Dordogne and Vezere valleys.

Host was amazing and went above and beyond. She showed us all thebest sites aom the map and text us good morning if we left to go sightseeing before seeing her. The house was a charming rustic converted barn 7km up in the countryside - perfect if you want to get away from it all. About 20-30 min drive from nearest sites.
