Dear Debra, sharing our experience with you is NOT a vindictive and reactionary.
Here is what we left you as a review and what you are referring to, so anyone can read and make an educate decision: " We felt greatly under-appreciated by this guest. All we wanted is Debra and Malcolm to have the best possible experience. For the money we charged, we thought we are giving a great deal - brand new designer apartment with 65' brand new 3D Smart Samsung TV , Italian design oven and microwave, stainless steel dishwasher, complimentary wi-fi, hydronic radiant floor heat, free parking on the street, washer and dryer., wine, chocolate , fresh flowers, etc. We left on vacation and gave them emergency contact. Soon after we started getting messages that indicated that the guests were disappointed we don't have a toaster and spatulas. Since we were on vacation, we suggested they buy a toaster and spatulas, if it's crucial to their great experience and to leave the receipts and we'll reimburse them at the end. ( we were trying to work with them and were willing to go the extra mile ) What we got as an answer at the end of their 1 month stay in our house was that they have never had the time to go buy a toaster?! We never understood how lacking a toaster and spatulas overwrite all the love and care we put into our brand new apartment. We never promised a toaster in our listing to begin with, which all of the sudden became a huge issue and was never communicated prior to check in. At the end of the stay, we found our apartment not in the best shape possible and on top of everything they left us an unfavorable review making a deal about the toaster and other things we feel are unreasonable, which left us in disbelief. This is our home, not a hotel after all. We sorry, Debra, we couldn't get you a toaster and left your experience flat but we were thousand miles away in the middle of South Pacific"
And one last thing, your statement that our apartment is a basement apartment is SIMPLY NOT TRUE:
It's located on ground level as visible in the pictures. There is no stairs down and it's NOT located under street level.
