My place is close to an ancient Healing Energy Point, from druid times, 1 minute walk. The Cottage is in Glanleam subtropical gardens. It's 15 minute walk to the Lighthouse, 3 minutes to the beach. Knightstown is about 1 1/2miles away. The Skelligs, an UNESCO site &recent Star Wars film location, can be arranged. You’ll love my place because its at the end of the world, its cosyness and its character. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids), and furry friends (pets).

Jessica's place was exactly as described , it had everything you needed and more it was clean and it was quirky (which we loved ) the setting is fantastic but it does mean a car is necessary for getting to nearest shop /restaurant overall a great experience I would recommend it

An interesting and delightful stay at Glanleam estate with its secret gardens and healing well. The village is over a mile away but has a great pub, village shop and small cafe which served the most wonderful chowder. There is a great ferry service across the water and we highly recommend the pub with seafood at the Point in Rennard. Super! The area is breathtakingly beautiful with walks around the estate made even more interesting when you meet the owner and listen to its history. The clean and tidy house is quirky and full of character with lovely beds to sleep in the pitch dark. We are already planning our next trip to come back x

We had a lovely time in Glanleam. If you need to get away from the city there is not best place to go: stunning surroundings and beautiful walks. Would love to go back someday.

Jessica greeted us upon arrival and gave us a quick tour around the cottage. She offered us fresh eggs from her chickens and gave us a map to explore her property. Her property is great for families or just people that want to get out of the city and enjoy a wonderful stay in a remote area of the world. I would love to return someday.

Charming house on an old estate sensitively restored. Location is perfect close to many sights of interest and Knightstown, where we enjoyed a light lunch after visiting the slate quarry, Cromwell's Point lighthouse and a surprise to me, the Tetrapod fossilised footprints (oldest in-situ fossilised footprints on planet earth!). A short afternoon drive brought us to Ballinskelligs beach for a bracing swim. It was also perfect for our trip to Skellig Michael as the boats leave from Portmagee only 10 minutes from the house. Nothingt can prepare one for the awe inspiring mo9astery at the top of the Skellig and the extraordinary detaour on teh return journey around the 200,00 strong gannett colony of Skellig Beag: mythical sights to feed the imagination for a lifetime

If you like the ultra modern then this is not for you. But if, like us, you want to experience old world charm in a traditional setting, with wonderful opportunities to walk, a private beach to use and accommodation with a history as a gardener's cottage that just oozed character then this is the house to choose. We had a wonderful, relaxing time, as did our toddler who kept reminding us how much he liked the holidays. We got to see geese, hens, sheep and cattle and were even offered fresh eggs by the hosts Jessica and Eoin. We even had use of a clothes line while we were there, and the house itself was comfortable and had everything we needed for a family holiday. We were in close proximity to a lot of history, including staying on the estate of the Knight of Kerry, and the island offers so much with the history of the Transatlantic Cable, the Tetrapod and slate quarrry. We loved it so much we are thinking of a return trip and would absolutely stay in the cottage again.
