Fairly affordable place to stay in Port Douglas. This is actually a room in the Ramada resort, so has more of a hotel feel. Resort itself comes with a pool and bar/restaurant. Location is very close to four mile beach. Requires a short drive to reach the majority of restaurants in Port Douglas.

We spent two nights at Anna's apartment in Port Douglas. It was very comfortable for our stay and was quiet. It was an easy walk to the beach which was great. The complex has a pool it is in the shade which means it stays quite cool. It is an easy drive from there to the city centre as long as you have a car.

Arriving from New Zealand we spent a fabulous week here, although we were out and about mostly, it was a great base for exploring the area. We loved the setting with the tropical plants and birds, room was comfy and air conditioning effective! Belatedly found the beach, only managed one walk there, unfortunately. The room felt very private despite the large number of guests at the resort. Tip: The restaurant does $5 tea and toast - cook your own and sit by the pool to enjoy! Saturday night is steak special night - smelt really good but we were just too tired to check it out. Highly recommend this accommodation and Port Douglas was very relaxing.

Anna's unit is spacious but a little lacking in kitchen facilities, which is not really a problem because there is a restaurant in the complex. The only place to wash dishes is in the bathroom basin, which we felt was not entirely hygienic. Otherwise everything else was good and we enjoyed our stay. Anna is an excellent host and communicator.

Thanks for your review Graham. Yes you are right in saying that there isn't a place to wash dishes. This is because it only has tea and coffee making facilities and I guess we had added a microwave and plates and cutlery in. I can see that it would be nice to have a little kitchen sink but there would be a whole lot of red tape and a pretty big task for a room that is advertised as tea and coffee facilities only. Don't worry, I have thought about it too..lol but then, I'd want to add a stove and an oven and we are always told if those smoke detectors go off, we would get in big trouble. They actually fine us and the sprinklers go off and ruin the carpets! So this is why we haven't taken the step to add a kitchen. Lol Sorry long winded explanation! It was really lovely to have you and Gwyn.

What a great spot! Beautiful accomodation, the pool was perfect and the beach was only a couple hundred metres down a private path. The bar staff were friendly and attentive, we would definitely stay here again. Thank Anna!
