Great place! Everything was clean and as expected. Very close to the bus stop and Alex/Shelby were very communicative for our check in. The only thing is maybe the mattress is a bit old, but the place is definitely a fantastic value! Highly recommended.

Really great hosts and room in an area serviced by a lot of buses straight into the middle of DC. The room is spacey, the shower was really great, the bed soft and cosy, the coffee delicious and the hosts were always at hand to answer questions/give tips. We didn't get food from anywhere in the area so can't comment on local eateries, but those a bus ride away are really good. I would definitely stay here again and reckommend it to all.

Second time I go to DC this year, second time I stay here. Locations is great, and Once again, the hosts were amazing, offering great suggestions and being extremely responsive. They suggested 3 restaurants, and all 3 were amazing. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Alex and Shelby's place was great. The space is bigger than it looks in the photos and the small table and chairs is a great addition. Small touches like the local coffee, beautiful DC themed art, and fleece throw blanket makes it feel like home. The proximity to Rock Creek Park makes this a great place for those who love to run or hike the best trails the city has to offer. Would definitely recommend to friends looking for a place to stay.

We have a completely traditional DC romance: we met online, went to happy hour, followed it up with brunch, then 6 months later due to love (and a crazy rental market) moved in together, and 6 months after that we "accidently" bought this house- which we hope you enjoy as much as we do!

Alex: I'm originally from KY, which is completely evident by my sense of southern hospitality, good manners and per Shelby, my slow talking. I studied at Georgetown University and never left, and now 16 years later I'm considered an honorary DC local. I love a good drink, talking to everyone, and bells (yes, bells).

Shelby: I'm originally from Pittsburgh which is the #1 best city ever, next to DC (and yours of course). I've been in DC about 8 years, moved here a few years after graduating college for a job and because of friends peer pressure, and fell in love with the city. I have an unusual love of goats, an Italian grandma that can't cook, and drinks more hot tea that you probably think is humanly possible.
