As we pulled into the driveway and got out of the car i knew this place was gonna be great. Seeing the river and hearing the relaxing sounds of the running water made the place magical. There was a nice little note left for myself and my family on a chalkboard they have on the outside of the house. It was a nice to see upon arrival . Nobody was home at the time we got there so we headed in our room and unpacked. The room was a good size and had everything we needed. We soon found the friendliest dogs you can imagine and let them out to come play with us. We went down closer to the river and the dogs came with us like they were tour guides. Later that day we met Doug and Sharon who were some of the nicest people you could meet. The next few days were full of relaxation and even some hiking. The pool was great and my newborn son loved it. I highly recommend coming to this location as you wont want to leave. Great location, hosts, and of course the dogs. We were lucky enough to get some of Sharons Bday cake which she was nice enough to share. Thanks again and we will be back again for sure. oh yea dont forget to bring tennis balls for the dogs.

One of the most wonderful trip. House is charming and clean they are the nicest people and they're dogs are just adorable. Had such a good time sitting in a river and a sip of wine and playing catch with the dogs (they are good swimmers). There is a cute antique shop in a Springvile town and the best part is endless gorgeous view and driving through the Sequoia National Forest.

Doug and Sharon where amazing host! Their place is beautiful we would have love it to stay a little more to fully enjoy!

Had the most spectacular stay at Doug and Sharon's! We wish we could have stayed longer. My boyfriend and I wanted somewhere special to stay and I cant imagine a better place to have been. It is the only place I want to stay when we visit Sequoia again! Doug and Sharon are sweet souls and and Abraham and Lincoln (their pups) are very special. The pups were so lovely to have around and hang out with. It is a cozy, clean, and spacious studio. The bed was comfy; very important after hiking and swimming. The jacuzzi was clean. The land/property itself is ridiculous! Right on the Tule river and the river itself is easily accessible (stairway and short path). They have a deck built right over the river. The sauna is nice, though it was very hot when we went up; I'm sure it's amazing in all seasons besides summer. One of my favorite airbnb rentals I have ever stayed in the entire world. You will regret not staying here

Doug & Sharon User ProfileDoug & Sharon is a superhost.

Doug retired from teaching in June 2015. Doug is in a perfect spot to welcome guests no matter what time they arrive. We love our home on the river and want to share it with others. We are very flexible in our house rules - treat it like your own home!
