Nestled at the head of Pigeon Hill Bay, our cottage is surrounded by 20 acres of fields, marshland, private walking paths, and a private pebble beach on the ocean with views of the Atlantic. Acadia National Park is nearby (1 hour plus) or take the ferry (20 minutes away) to BarHarbor. Acadia Park Schoodic Point is a must see (20 minutes). Enjoy our kayaks, our recommended day trips, blueberry picking, visiting white-tailed deer. For a full week stay we serve a lobster shore dinner for two.

The space
2024 Update:

We own Bayview Cottage and are the hosts. We anticipate hosting guests this spring, summer and fall, our 14th year. This homestead has remained in the family for two centuries.

New this year:
Our bathroom is newly renovated and the living room, and kitchen and stairway have a new coat of paint. We have added a second dining area on the sun porch. A new flagstone walkway to the entrance is completed.

Guest access
2 private Bayview beaches to explore. 20 acres of land is accessible to our guests and their pet. Most guests find their dog can be off leash. The property has numerous paths to hike and explore.

Minutes from Pigeon Hill Preserve , Schoodic Point (Acadia National Park), Petit Menan Wildlife refuge. Five miles from shopping, pharmacy, restaurants, etc. We have a moveable fire pit for small camp fires. Bring your own wood or you’re welcome to forage for branches and downed limbs nearby on property. Twenty acres here. Your pet can be off leash. We encourage that.
