SeaHut is a cabin in the clouds. It has a panoramic view from Looe in the west to Rame Head in the east, including St George's Island. It is 5 minutes walk from the beach, on the SW Coast Path and good for exploring the "forgotten corner of Cornwall". Great for walkers, cyclists or anyone who wants to enjoy the beach or simply take in the view.

The view is to die for, but it does mean a climb of about 90 steps to reach the cabin - it's worth it when you get there!

The space

The cabin is well equipped with plenty of space for 2 people. In the living room, there is kitchen area with 2 burner hob, fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle, sink and all the usual pots and pans. There is a shower room with toilet and basin and a small bedroom with a king size cabin bed. In the living room, there is a sofa bed, so 1 or 2 extra people is possible, but it will be cosy. Outside there is a table, chairs and fire basket - everything you need to enjoy the stars and the sea.

Guest access

The cabin has its own outdoor, garden area, use of a parking space and we can store bicycles.

Seahut is a cabin at the top of our garden. You have completely independent access, but we are nearby if you have questions.

Was excited to stay here looking at previous reviews but unfortunately it was a bit of a let down. Arrived and rang the door bell. A man answered who simply handed me a key and said "Lindsay is out". When it became obvious he had no intention of showing us to the cabin I took the key. It was not the cosy log cabin I had pictured, rather a metal ship container like hut. The views, which are the main selling point, were nice but sadly all we had during our stay was mist and rain, obviously not something under anybody's control. Inside it had what you needed and was clean, not what I would call homely, but I guess we all have different opinions of what that means. We would not go back again.

Response from Lindsey:
I'm sorry if you were disappointed, however nowhere does it say it is a log cabin and the photos accurately show the interior, which is bright and clean - something the vast majority of our guests thoroughly appreciate. Unfortunately the weather is entirely beyond our control which is a great shame - the view is spectacular. I'm also surprised you felt Pete was being unfriendly - it must have been an unfortunate misunderstanding as he's always very happy to help but also respects the wishes of many who want to fend for themselves. Sadly I think we will have to agree to disagree and hope you find other accommodation that suits you better next time.

What a place to stay! The photos really don't do this cabin justice; the views are spectacular, and there is much more space than we anticipated. A great location for visiting several local attractions (the nearby Downderry beach is definitely worth making time to walk along). Great value for money, a no-fuss, no-hassle getaway with very accommodating hosts.

Wonderfully secluded accommodation, the steps were fine so long as you took your time, they certainly encouraged you to stop and admire the wonderful views several times on the way up. Inside was spotless and very well equipped, with a stunning view of the sea - well worth the hike up. It is within easy reach of the beach, restaurants and the shop just along the road at Downderry. You can also walk along the beach from Downderry to Seaton where we stopped at the beach cafe for coffee. We would recommend it as a lovely place to stay.

Beautifully secluded cabin, exceptionally clean with everything you need including tea, coffee and milk which is a nice touch. The views are worth the climb up the steps. We will be back.

The cabin had a very homely yet modern feel and with beautiful views overlooking the coast. Lindsey's communication was clear and very helpful. Thank you for supplying the tea and coffee with a pint of milk, it was the perfect welcome after the long drive to Cornwall. This cabin is perfect for a couple looking for a private getaway, couldn't recommend it more!

Spent a week here and loved it. The stairs up really isn't that bad at all and the privacy and view are amazing. A great secluded base to chill out and relax and also explore the local area.
