Enjoy a relaxing break in quiet countryside close to the seaside towns and beaches of Southwold and Walberswick. Take advantage of the great facilities offered by our yurt-site, including heated outdoor showers, pizza oven with covered pergola for al fresco meals, covered cooking area, campfire pit, own bar-b-q, large renovated barn with table tennis, sofas and books as well as flushing toilets and indoor showers.
We provide a complimentary basket-full of wood for the log-burner as well as kindling and firelighters. Bar-b-q charcoal and campfire wood are available at cost-price on site.
Double bed linen and 2 sets of towels are included. This accommodation is not suitable for a travel cot or for infants under 2 years old.
We can collect from the nearby station of Brampton by prior arrangement before 6.30pm.

The space
Our lovely new Shepherd's Hut is fully insulated throughout, with double-glazed windows and a cosy wood-burner for cooler ends of the season (or just for the fun of it!). There's a full-sized double bed, proper mattress and cosy duvet and quilt, as well as a full length sofa and stools and a dining table (also great for writing at if you want to get away from it all and be creative). The solar panel provides lighting and in the barn are sockets for charging laptops, phones etc. Outside on the decking are chairs and a table as well as campfire gas stove and bar-b-q for outside meals, your own campfire pit for star-gazing at night. With great facilities in the renovated 17th century barn, this is an experience not to be missed!
Join one of our Full Moon Walks, held at dusk (or thereabouts) around the date of the full moon throughout the year - see our website or ask us for dates if you are interested!
We try to tread lightly in this beautiful environment and aim to make it as easy as possible for our guests to do the same, with environmentally friendly hot water systems, locally sourced wood and using recycled or up-cycled products where possible. We have been awarded Suffolk's Greenest County Tourism Award and hold a Carbon Charter Gold certificate. We strive to manage the landscape to support wildlife and have lots of information here about what's around.

Guest access
The Shepherd's Hut is located in a 3 acre meadow which has a wildlife trail, 2 small copses and 4 yurts, with everything being well space apart. Guests have access to all the communal areas, including the pizza oven with covered pergola, covered cooking areas with gas hobs, pots and pans, a large newly renovated 17th century barn with table tennis, sofas, arm-chairs, a small library of books, fridges and freezers, bikes to borrow, a small "camp friendly" shop (pasta, tinned foods etc), large table and benches for indoor eating, two flushing loos, two indoor showers, a bathroom area with basins and a washing up area. There are also two mains-heated woodland showers, which are very popular with guests young and old!
