All rooms upstairs have stunning views of the sea that truly lift your heart.

The front door opens into a welcoming reception lobby leading to a cloakroom and large open plan dining and sitting room plus a lovely homely kitchen.
The seaward view spans across Rame Head to Eddystone lighthouse and Looe Island.

The living area is perfect for a holiday in any weather. In summer, the living space can be extended to incorporate the decking and fully enjoy the view by opening the bi-folding doors.

When someone opens their house to you it's already a lovely gesture. When it's in a great location, with lots of room and they leave you their bookcase to help yourself to (borrow not take away!) literally a step from the beach it's beyond lovely. There are amazing places to visit that are not so far away (Lost Gardens of Heligan/Eden Project) My dog loved the beach, the local restaurant that let her in too, sitting on the terrace in the evening watching the sea, or on the balcony watching the sun go down. Local farms selling produce they grow, including delicious local honey, Sky tv and wifi if you need it, just the most blissful way to spend a week by the sea. I wish it was my house!

We felt very lucky to secure a house by the sea and were so excited to arrive! Nicola's home is complete and utter bliss. Decorated and furnished in such a fresh way, the sense of calm we felt for the whole week was just incredible. To wake up to the sound of waves lapping and seagulls overhead, then to sit in bed with a cuppa and that magical view was a very special part of each day. There were just four of us staying, so we were spoilt for space ... to play together as a family or to find cosy places to read! My husband had space to work on his business when he needed to and found the setting most relaxing for carrying out his work. The neighbours were so kind and friendly (and one couple used to live in the road next to ours back home-small world!) The garden was a dream for our boys to play in whilst we enjoyed drinks on the raised patio looking out to the sea. We enjoyed many fab day trips from the house but equally enjoyed our lazy days soaking up the vibe of this relaxing home. The boys had a fab time rock pooling and we loved hiking the coastal path too! Our only disappointment was that we hadn't booked 3 weeks! Thank you Nicola for allowing us to enjoy your home. It's a special place indeed.

Mordros is a slice of paradise. The house is tastefully decorated and very comfortable. When the doors are open you can hear the sea and gulls. 3 of the bedrooms have sea views. If you are looking for a relaxing break, you won't be disappointed. We had fish and chips from Coddy Shack which Nicola recommended. Delicious! Lydford Gorge was beautiful but be warned that it's a steep climb down. The Eden project is 45 minutes away and is good value. All in all a great place to stay.

Nicola's place at Downderry is a lovely self contained 2 storey house with views overlooking the sea. At night the sound of the sea washing upon the shore is magical! There was a nice welcome pack on arrival and as our Sat Nav was playing up we had help from the local cafe (the Blue Plate) to find the house - so the village is very friendly. Good pub - the Inn on the shore - is worth a visit too. Best thing about the area is how untouristy it is. On a local cliff walk heading east from the village I didn't encounter a single person in 3 hours of walking. Magnificent sea views from the walk also. All in all it was a terrific week. The break of 9 days in late July/early August was in peak season but you wouldn't know it in this village where you mainly bump into locals who are all really chatty and friendly. Compared to Western Cornwall where places like St Ives are just rammed full of tourists! All in all well worth a stay!
