The Plough is a characterful three bedroom house situated in the small Cumbrian Hamlet of Banks. It is situated half a mile down the road from where the noted English Artist Winifred Nicholson lived, just a few miles from the pretty market town of Brampton, and a stones throw from Hadrian's Wall. The impressive Roman Fort of Housesteads is about 4 miles away and Vindolanda is about 13 miles from the house, Well worth a visit if you are interested Roman History.

If you are looking for a spacious, comfortable & well appointed rural get away with pretty countryside on your doorstep you won't find better than The Plough. The owners are friendly and helpful. A lovely place to relax whatever the time of year.

Definitely recommended - great location, lovely and unusual house full of personality and very functional (I.e. everything worked!) Highlights: a bathroom for each bedroom, the wood burning fire, the games, the well equipped kitchen, the general comfort of everything. Book it!
