Wonderful old farmhouse with barn available monthly, weekly, or daily, in a gorgeous green setting sheltered by a huge oak. We're in a lobster fishing village, with a five minute walk to back cove, or the harbor, and a 10 minute walk to the ocean. A lovely local sandy beach is only four minutes by car. Lounge on the front porch, or the back deck, where we have a planter filled with fresh herbs. There are three bedrooms, two upstairs and one down, as well as a sleeper sofa in the living room, and one bathroom with shower. Easy access to: swimming either at the public beach or local swimming hole, Pemaquid lighthouse, historic Colonial Pemaquid fort and museum, several harbors, local grocery store, and Shaw's lobster wharf, as well as other restaurants, such as The Harbor Room, and The Cupboard Cafe with its fabulous blueberry pancakes or homemade cinnamon rolls. We're also close to the Hardy Boat ferry to Monhegan. Damariscotta, with its variety of shops, restaurants (including a lovely Thai spot), a terrific book store and local library, and a wonderful old theatre is only a 15-20 minute drive. Parking on site. No phone, internet, or cable, as this is a place to relax. But if you need it, there's wi-fi available at local cafes as well as free wi-fi at the local library.
Only non-smokers, please.
We are in New Harbor, on the Pemaquid Peninsula, about a 1.5 hour drive north of Portland and approximately 45 minutes from Camden.
You'll have full access to the whole house.

My husband and I love books, music, and the arts in general. We also love to hike, cook, and travel and we've recently begun to explore sailing and kayaking. We welcome guests during the summer when we are there or to rent the entire house monthly, weekly, or daily when we're not. Our style is creative, and informal; we love to get to know others and share this lovely little corner of Maine with you. We've also been guests in many places as well. We look forward to hearing from you.
