Frank and Donna made us extremely welcome and went out of their way to ensure we had a fantastic stay with them. We got to see Whales on the boat trip with them and dolphins in the bay. The apartment was very well cleaned, comfortable and well equipped. The view from the large windows is a real highlight with a beautiful views across the bay.

What a lovely place tucked away in Mitchell Bay on Malcolm Island! Frank met us at the ferry and led us to his and Donna's little paradise on the ocean. The road to their house was gravel but our car had no issues getting around. The views from the room were spectacular! We could see seals from our window and the beautiful sunset. The wood stove made for a very cozy October weekend (it rained 3/4 days but that didn't matter). The hot tub was divine, we even had a couple of Deer visit us while in it :) we got to feed the local deer some apples every day, which was very cute! The breakfasts were delicious (especially that banana bread!) and our hosts were so very kind to us! We got to have some fresh caught Salmon as well as home-smoked Salmon! We even got to go whale watching on Frank's boat, saw some humpbacks! There is more I'm forgetting but just know that you will be in good hands at Donna and Frank's. They are very kind and generous with a good sense of humour! Highly recommend! We will be back in the summer!

Frank and Donna are fabulous hosts who take great care and pay much attention to their guests. Frank met us at the ferry and guided us to Mitchell Bay and then Donna welcomed me into their home for Thanksgiving Dinner. They were very knowledgeable about the Island and helpful in making suggestions and recommendations. Donna even took us in their truck to town and gave us a mini-tour of the Island. The room is very clean and has everything you need. The kitchen is the perfect size for making meals during your stay, and the dining table offers beautiful views of the Bay. The wood stove is pre-set so you can quickly and easily light a fire. It was warm, dry and very cozy. Whether you are relaxing inside enjoying the views and keeping warm, or out adventuring, it is a great spot. We watched whales and spotted a sea otter from the deck; Frank and Donna provide binoculars so you can get a closer view from your place! The deer come right into the yard and are adorable to view in such close proximity. Donna provided a great breakfast the next morning, including Finnish bread. Frank and Donna are incredibly attentive, always nearby, and very willing to engage and provide assistance.

Great location, stunning view and fantastic hospitality. Thank you so much Frank and Donna for a wonderful place to stay. We highly recommend this BnB, the tranquility and view simply cannot be beat - and the friendly deer so close to the back door was the cherry on top!

We found it difficult to pick just one outstanding attribute to our stay at Nature's Sea Side View, as all of the items mentioned were so outstanding, but we finally chose the hospitality of Donna and Frank. Here are some of the features that impressed us: - The host met us at the Port McNeill/Sointula ferry dock and led us around Malcolm Island on a 20-minute drive over a pebbly road to their home (we brought our car but you could come as a walk-on and be picked up). - The home is attached by the roof over a large patio to the separate cabin where we stayed. One whole side of this cabin is wall-to-wall windows with a patio in front, facing out to a magnificent view of the sea and distant islands. - After chatting over a cup of tea on the deck, Donna showed us around the cabin, explaining the TV, internet, wood-burning fireplace, etc. Then Donna left us -- and from there on we were on our own unless we wanted them for something, so it's quite private and very quiet. - Other pleasures provided were a large hot tub on the deck, a fully equipped kitchen, brochures on the area, magazines and books, two fuzzy robes. A very comfy bed with a quilt and extra blanket at the end, which faced out to the view as did everything except the full bathroom. There were also black-out drapes if you wanted to sleep in. - A seal frolicked in front of the house, and whales spouted out in the distance. - Lovely young deer came up to the back of the deck looking for Donna's treats of apple pieces. - And speaking of treats, a covered tray of tasty and filling goodies was left outside our door each morning, including a Finnish loaf or Donna's own banana loaf, some fresh fruit, yogurt, and juice. - Because of their pet-friendly policy, we were able to bring along our little Havanese dog, who enjoyed the experience as much as we did, and even got a treat on our breakfast tray in the morning. - There were no "extra" charges like "Service" and "Cleaning" that we've experienced at other airbnb's. For these and so many reasons, we believe we got a lot of value for our money, and are delighted with our experience staying with Donna and Frank and their two little dogs. Thanks so much.
