Ross Cottage Snuggery is a small, cozy, comfortable place to stay for 2 guests - 1 king size or 2 single beds. The Snuggery is a self-contained unit within Ross Cottage, an 1875 colonial cottage. The scenic surroundings are stunning! We are 10 mins to Mt. Hutt ski field turn-off, Mt. Sunday - movie site of Edoras, and many bush walks & tramping tracks. Hot tub - fresh filtered water, no chemicals - $27 for first night, $10 per night thereafter. As much as we love cats & dogs - please, no pets.

The space
Ross Cottage is on a quiet rural road, just off the Scenic Alpine Highway 72. Lovely views of several mountains of the Southern Alps can be seen from the cottage. We would love to guarantee cloud-free days but clouds can hide the mountains! A popular cafe is within 10 minutes walking distance.
Ross Cottage Snuggery was sensitively added to the historic cottage a few years ago. It has a private entrance to a full size bedroom with a wardrobe and ensuite. Then up a few stairs to the loft with a surprisingly well equipped kitchen, small table and stools, two comfortable chairs with foot rests, TV with Netflix, dvd player & a selection of dvd's. The loft has stunning views to Mt. Somers and Mt. Peel. Guests can enjoy the large cottage garden where seating and croquet is available.

We are a couple who love sharing our historic cottage with others. Having travelled extensively it is great meeting people from all around the world. We have both worked in people-related occupations for many years, and have been involved in running retreats, so we are familiar with hosting people, giving them their privacy while being available if needed.
