Recently painted and carpeted throughout, it’s a beautiful detached home just 30 mins from Whistler and 45 mins from Vancouver. Located in Brackendale (north Squamish), world eagle capital, and near restaurants, amenities, coffee and bike shops, biking/hiking trails and river walks. Perfect for groups, families, hikers, bikers and artisans.

The space
We hope to welcome you to our beautiful home, whether traveling internationally or locally. The perfect getaway from the big city, our ten-year old house is a wilderness retreat, set amongst the mountain community of Brackendale yet close to all amenities and Highway 99.

Offering a large open-plan kitchen and dining room with country table and chairs, double doors open out to the backyard for great BBQ action. The kitchen is stocked with a coffee machine, blender, toaster, microwave, electric kettle, and all the usual kitchen necessities and cooking basics.

Generous seating in the living room with two sofas and a leather armchair, plus gorgeous river rock gas fireplace and 55-inch Smart TV with cable access, including Netflix and Crave.

Impressive master bedroom with vaulted ceilings, king-size bed, walk-in closet, and a bright and airy ensuite, while the huge second bedroom has uninterrupted front, side and rear views of the local mountains, king-size bed, reading area with comfy chair, large corner lounge/double sofa bed and 55-inch Smart TV, ample desk space to work from, plus complete privacy. It's the perfect retreat.

Ample-sized third and fourth bedrooms, including a double bed in one room and bunk bed in the other room (bunk bed has two single mattresses - upper mattress is not suitable for adults, but the lower mattress is).

Lots of outdoor space, with a large covered verandah in both the front and rear of the house, and a fully-fenced, gated and grassed level backyard (with a trampoline for the kids, outdoor furniture including Adirondack chairs, plus fire pit, Balinese style furniture on the deck, table and chairs on the patio, veggie patch, and abundant mountain views).

Plenty of parking on the double driveway, accessed by a private lane, plus full internal laundry with washer and dryer, and room for storing boots/ski gear and for hanging coats and wet weather gear.

This is a non-smoking property.

Please note that this house is located in a family community. While our space can accommodate larger groups, we ask that all groups, especially larger ones, be respectful of the local community.

Where you’ll be

Squamish, British Columbia, Canada

Squamish is Canada's outdoor recreational capital. We are 30 minutes to the ski areas at Whistler, while there is world-class rock climbing, windsurfing, mountain biking, and hiking right on your doorstep.

Our home is located in the midst of Brackendale, close to renowned walking and riding trails. It's the most northerly part of Squamish, only 30 minutes to the Whistler Creekside gondola. Brackendale is considered the 'Home of the Eagles' so don't be surprised if you see these incredible creatures. Alice Lake is a 5-minute drive away, Whistler is a 30-minute drive, downtown Vancouver is 45 minutes away.

We do live close to the wilderness so you may see wildlife on the street or occasionally crossing through the backyard (usually in the middle of the night).

Easy access to the Squamish river (along both the dike and via numerous easy walking trails), biking, hiking, nature trails, and gorgeous lakes. Great amenities on your doorstep, including coffee shop, bike shop, hair salon, restaurant, and popular local pubs and eateries, The Watershed, Shady Tree Pub and Crabapple Cafe. Forested area, with expansive views of mountains and adventure on your doorstep.

Brackendale is a quiet, established family community with friendly neighbours and a gentle village feel.
