Memories is an 8-sleeper self catering beach house with spectacular views over Walker Bay and the sandy dunes of the Plaat Nature Reserve.
Walker Bay is a sanctuary for the Southern right whale. It feeds in Antarctica during the summer months and then migrate thousands of kilometres to the sheltered bays of South Africa to mate and calve.
If you want to get away from the busy city life and relax, Memories is the place for you!
Lovely contemporary house with beautiful views of Walker Bay and surrounding mountains.
De Kelders is a beautiful coastal village 5km north of Gansbaai and half an hours drive from Hermanus. Earmarked by spectacular cliffs, long white beaches and a variety of Fynbos, its name is derived from caves in the sandstone cliffs.
The overhanging cliffs of De Kelders offer some of the best places in the world to view the Southern Right Whales between June and December as these gentle giants swim within a few meters of the rocky shore.
Situated next to De Kelders is the Walker Bay Nature Reserve with a spectacular 17km coastline. The reserve has a beautiful long white beach known as "Die Plaat" which is ideal for day hikes along the coast, angling, swimming and picnicking.
Hiking Trails take you to places such as the Klipgat Cave, formed millions of years ago where excavations indicated the presence of Middle Stone Age people an estimated 80 000 years ago.
Shark cage diving, great local wines and cheeses at surrounding farms as well as mountain biking will round off a perfect holiday.
