Interaction with guests

I would be there for the initial greeting, and then let them dictate how much they wish to interact. I have my own living room so the guest can cook and eat in peace.

The neighbourhood

Where I live is a combination of history, seafaring influence with access to one of Europe's most cosmopolitan of cities.

Getting around

The DART is three minutes from the house. It goes north to Dublin City the and south to Dalkey and Wicklow at five minute intervals in the mornings and frequently during the day. It is on all the main bus routes.
The AIRCOACH stops on Marine Road. Walk down the hill and turn left. Walk three minutes and Kellys Avenue is the third street on the left. No 2 is mid terrace.

Other things to note

The House was built in 1923 and renovated and extended in 2003. It therefore has the charm of the old while it has all the benefits of being modernised.

Kathy was a very accommodating host and made us feel welcome. Fantastic location for visiting Dun-Loaghaire or otherwise Dublin if not wanting to stay in the city.

Kathy place is the perfect spot if you want to be close to Dublin and at the same time enjoy staying in a cute town by the sea. The train station is just down the road - the Dart takes you to Dublin city centre in about 20min. Also down the road just a few minutes walking distance is the stop of the Aircoach bus which takes you to the airport. So it is very easy and hassle free to get to Kathys place. The room is just as pictured, clean, with a big closet and a comfortable bed. The bathroom was clean and the shower was great. There is also a cute garden. The Internet was fast and very reliable. Kathy is a lovely host and I felt very welcome at her home.

Fabulous experience! I would stay here again in a heartbeat. I stayed here while at a conference at the Royal Marine hotel. Kathy's place was a short walk (5 minutes!) to the conference. The seaside town is fabulous and worth every minute of the stay!

Energetic person who is slightly addicted to Social Media. loving the outdoors, I horseride once a week. I read when I have the chance and cook nearly every day, being concerned with eating the right things for the planet and myself.
Gardening is a real interest, again, when I have the time. Travel is something I plan to do more of in the near future, having been to NYC and Alaska so far this year.
I love films such as Breakfast on Pluto, Blue jasmine, Cinema Paradisio.
I believe in having a sense of humour while trying to make sense of life.
