The entire apartment was really dirty. The living room had two make shift beds and there were sheets, clothing, water and gatorade bottles everywhere. The kitchen was really gross as well, it looked like it;d never been cleaned, the sink was full of old dishes, and there was food open and just chilling on the countertops. The bedroom featured a plain mattress with one sheet covering it, and another to cover yourself with. And it was an absolute mess, with clothes stuffed everywhere. The bathroom was the worst: cat hair absolutely everywhere and it smelled horrible. The bathtub was incredibly grimy; you need shower shoes for that thing. I asked Yuri to clean it on day two and he did, and it was a bit better, but still far from great. The cat also kept me up all night for 2/3 nights of my stay. It scratched and meowed at my door all night.
As a host, Yuri was nice, and invited me to events and offered to show me around, but the conditions were just unacceptable. When someone pays to stay at an airbnb, they expect it to be clean and decent. I'm not asking for maid service, just hygienic conditions that don't make me feel like I need a tetanus shot after.
