Architect designed ground floor mews flat in quiet conservation area really close to Sheffield Railway Station & tramline. Parks, art & culture, restaurants, bars, Ponds Forge pool & gym, Crucible Theatre & universities, hospitals and iconic Park Hill a short walkaway. Laid back, cosy Scandi feel, comfy bed (+ comfortable sofa bed in living area) well equipped kitchen. Parking space & outdoor space. Hotel style bathroom. Easy access by car/public transport to Peak District. Breakfast included.

The space
The apartment enjoys a light & airy open plan kitchen, dining & living space, with exposed roof beams, slate floor. We have decorated with a mix of modern and vintage style. The classic mid-century dining table and 4 chairs with well equipped kitchen with fridge-freezer and dishwasher make it a comfortable place to stay, relax or work.
The corner sofa quickly and easily converts into a very comfortable double sofa bed with bed linen etc stored inside ready to use.
The hotel style en-suite bathroom is off the main bedroom. Towels, shampoo conditioner and shower gel all provided.
The bedroom is cosy and comfortable with standard size bed with white hotel quality bedding (please note high mattress so not suitable for young children)

Fresh milk, tea, locally roasted ground coffee, bread, butter, cereal and preserves will be available - enough for 2 nights.

Guest access
Our apartment is self-contained and accessed down a private drive as part of a mews which is formed of a house, a studio and an office, with 2 artist studios in the garden. It was converted this year and designed by award winning Sheffield architects OS31.

There is an allocated secure parking space on the drive which will save you money on parking fees. If you need a 2nd parking space we can arrange it close by. There is a security alarm for the apartment and external lighting.
There are chairs just outside the flat for you to have your morning coffee and breakfast. The bedroom has French windows.

Other things to note
The apartment is all on ground floor level – the bedroom has a wooden floor and the living area slate floor so please be aware of this if you have a crawling baby. We don’t provide a cot but you are welcome to bring your own. Can provide high chair on request.

Hair dryer, iron & ironing board provided.

There is no TV in the apartment but it has good wireless internet access and a tv licence so you can stream on your laptop or iPad.

The apartment is in a conservation area just behind Sheffield Train Station and is just around the corner from Park Hill flats – the largest Grade 2* listed building in Europe. We are 5- 10 minutes stroll from the city centre and yet our space feels as if it is in the countryside.

There are 3 beautiful parks very close by with great running and cycling paths and the fabulous Real Junk Food Project runs the Steeple Corner Café just around the corner Monday- Saturday saving supermarket food from going to waste. The Sheffield Tap in the station is a beautiful space in the old refreshment rooms and serves over 700 real ales and brews its own beer on site.

There is a small Marks and Spencer food shop in the station or a small Sainsbury's a few minutes further. Aldi and Waitrose are a short drive away. Wheatleys is a great traditional fish and chip shop up the road, although you need to check their opening hours as this is Yorkshire and the hours when people eat fish and chips can be seen as eccentric by people from far away lands (like London)

The Rutland Arms serves everything from butties to top notch local farmed steaks - constantly changing creative menu. A slightly further walk is The Beer Engine pub (half hidden behind Waitrose on Cemetery Road) with great menu of small Tapas style plates. Menu changes weekly. Delicious!

Hi - I'm Kim.I love cooking, baking bread and being part of a strong community. In the past I have been a teacher, a designer and I lived in Paris for 2 years running a secret supper club. I love to show people what a special city Sheffield is - to live, study or visit. Sheffield is great for sunsets, real ale pubs, the friendliness of the people, the colour green and the accent. The phrase I use most is "What goes around comes around." I think the best food you can eat is that shared with others: outdoors, preferably near a fire.

During your stay
I live 2 minutes around the corner. My partner also occupies an office and studio further down the mews. You will be left to enjoy the place in privacy but if you have any issues during your stay, I am on hand to help. I supply a booklet of information about things to see and do as well as restaurant, pub and take-away recommendations but if you need to know anything else please ask.
