The Horizon 1 Bedroom
Each apartment consists of an open plan fully fitted kitchen with all appliances such as 4 ring hob, oven and grill, toaster, electric kettle. All pots and pans are provided with necessary crockery, cutlery, a variety of serving dishes and glasses. Each unit is equipped with its own washing machine, iron and board and a laundry hanger/drier.
Pool closed between November and March.

The space

A compact 2 bedroom apartment situated in a quiet residential area and within a short 10 minute walk to the village centre. A n open plan kitchen dining / living compliments this apartment with 2 seperate walk in showers and toilets/ A large balcony connects the living room and bedroom overlooking the country valley and distant sea views.

Guest access

The guests have an easy access from ground floor level and can choose whether use the elevator or the stairs.

Interaction with guests

The guest are fully independent during their stay with us but we are also available when needed. We are reachable 24/7 on our mobile telephony as well as e-mail and we also can one see us at our high street car rental office where one can enquire for any assistance regarding the holiday planning

Other things to note

We do our utmost to accommodate our guests till time of departure. We appriciate the guests cooperation in this matter as we are able to help and assist till time of departure. We are also able to arrange the taxi from airport to accommodation at any time of arrival as our drivers will lead you into the apartment. We highly appreciate this specially as this will make check in a much quicker and hassle free .

We found David’s apartment after our original early booking was cancelled by the landlord less then 24 hours before our scheduled landing (thanks to AirBnB for a really fast assistance in this matter) so we were facing arriving to Malta with a 17-month old baby and no place to stay. Luckily, David confirmed our booking within minutes and literally saved our day. After we arrived, and found out that a “big brand” car rental company did not have any record of booking (which was confirmed and paid for, but that’s a different story), David picked us at the airport – he even sourced a car child seat en route – again, saving our day. Now about the apartment. It’s in the building with about 15 apartments, located at the corner of two really quiet streets. Off-street parking was available in a garage which was great as it rained a lot during our stay. Despite just 24-hour notice, the apartment itself was clean and ready to accommodate our family. Two bedrooms (both air-conditioned), two bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen/living room. There was also a drying rack on the balcony. Wi-fi was fast and reliable even during a severe storm. We also appreciated lots of storage.

Location fantastic and a great town to stay in. Fantastic views from some apartments and pool deck. Apartment a little dated but adequate. A bit light on for pillows (one very ordinary pillow each), beach/pool towels way too small, parking in garage is limited but usually something close in the street. In apartment ammenities ok (eg kitchen accessories ok but a bit limited) and common areas like lift and garage were sometimes a bit untidy. No bbqbor tables at pool is a shame cause the views are great. Views vary widely from different apartments, this one limited sea views from small balcony. Mellieha is a great place to stay, has it all from a vast array of restaurants to fantastic beaches. I would rate as a strong 3 out of 5 stars.
