Our charming and authentic house (1918) was renovated with quality materials while preserving the original character. The wooden flooring gives the century-old home a cosy, warm atmosphere, while having all modern conveniences. Renovations were designed to maximise light influx and the feel of spaciousness. Decorations are inspired by our travels across the globe. As soon as the weather allows, the sun-soaked terrace is the perfect place to relax after a tour in town. Enjoy!

Stefaan and Melissa were excellent hosts! We really enjoyed our stay :) The property was very clean and comfortable. It was nice place to have as our home base in between exploring the city. They provided great recommendations for things to do and places to eat and drink in Bruges. We would definitely stay there again!

Stefaan and Melissa's place was immaculate and spacious. It was in a quiet area only minutes walk to the gates of the old city. We had everything we needed.

This is an excellent place. It is in a great location. You can easily walk in to the center of Bruges, and it is surrounded by all the necessities--bakery, coffee shop, grocery store, cheese shop, etc.. We had a vehicle and appreciated the fact that we could park nearby at no cost. The place is clean and comfortable. Well outfitted kitchen, private patio, very nice bedrooms. The steps up to the bedrooms are a bit steep, especially to the third floor, so be prepared for that. Enjoy your visit to Bruges!

We had a wonderful long weekend at Musette, and it was perfect for our stay. Stefaan and Melissa have prepared a lovely, calming home with everything we needed as a family on holiday (without feeling like being in a creche). All the amenities you might need (restaurants, grocery shops, laundry, and public transport) are literally steps away, and the journey into the historic centre of Bruges is just a few minutes (10 mins walking to the city gate, shorter on the bus). And the lovely house comes with equally lovely hosts. Stefaan and Melissa have put a lot of thought into ensuring their guests have all they need for an enjoyable trip, from their well-equipped house, to a glut of tourist info available, to some timely check-ins to make sure we had everything we needed. A few things other guests might like to know (none of these impacted our trip or would be deal-breakers for us, but I do know they might be for some): The house has typical Dutch stairs, if that's something you will struggle with. It is also very child-friendly, but not "child-proof" in terms of stair gates for those steep steps. Absolutely manageable with some considered door-closing - you can block off access, but must remember to do so if it's important to you. And as a previous guest mentioned, the pillows were unexpected - molded foam contour neck pillows.

My two sisters and I spent four great days in Stefaan and Melissa's house and it met all our (URL HIDDEN) was cosy, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The kitchen was adequately stocked with all the gadgets and utensils that one would need. The dining , lounge area was spacious and nicely furnished . We made good use of the terraced area too as we enjoyed very pleasant weather during our stay. The upstairs accommodation mirrored that of downstairs, nice sized rooms , comfortable beds ,(the pillows were a bit hard) with clean fresh bed linen . The toilet / bathroom were also spotless and well stocked with toiletries. The stairs (steps) up to the bedrooms is narrow but once we got our cases up this wasn't a problem. Prior to our trip, Melissa had emailed me information re Bruges, this information was invaluable to us. We used it to track down restaurants, local food stores, bakeries, and also , of course, places of interest in Bruges . Melissa did everything in her power to look after us. She collected us from the train station in Bruges and brought us back to the station when leaving . She was always on hand to answer a query or provide additional information. We really appreciated her kindness and consideration. We plan to return to Bruges and stay in Stefaan and Melissa's Airbnb again and we will be recommending them to any of our friends who plan to visit Bruges in the future. Frances.

Stefaan & Melissa User Profile

We are both born and raised in Bruges. Our mutual passions are traveling around the world, cyclo-sports and the great outdoors. We enjoy meeting new people, learning about different cultures and sampling local produce.

After work, Melissa takes gastronomy cooking and artisanal beer brewing classes. When the food and beer are a bit too much, she goes for a run in the woods.

Stefaan is an avid cyclist. Mountainbiking through China’s tea tree fields, cyclocross in local mud pools or cruising along our beautiful Flemish canals, he just can’t get enough.

"Seize the moment" is truly our life motto.
