Beach and mountain views

A lovely two bedroom cottage, sleeps six. Living room with sleep sofa, bathroom with stall shower, and a well equipped eat in kitchen with all the comforts of home. Lovely screened in porch and exterior deck for enjoying the lake views and a gas grill and picnic table outdoors. Great country roads for hiking and biking, a private lakeshore, dock and rowboat, lots of wildlife, great fishing, & incredible sunsets. Summer rentals are Saturday-Saturday (7nts), Spring and Fall are 3 nt minimums.

The space
The cottage is an easy commute to Burlington (40 minutes) or Montreal (60 minutes). It is on a quiet, dead-end road, with a park at the end of the road. You can cross the Grande Isle Ferry from NY 87 and be there in 15 minutes. Easy access off of VT 89, Exit 17 and then North on RTE 2 through the Champlain Islands until you cross the North Hero drawbridge: then the first left on South End Rd down to the lake.

Guest access
Just let us know when you plan to arrive we will leave the door open and the keys inside. There is a 16 foot rowboat available along with life jackets and anchor for your use and some wonderful fishing right in front of the cottage. There are beautiful hiking spots throughout the Islands and a lovely spacious yard.

Other things to note
We allow dogs on a case by case basis. We are a rural setting with wonderful neighbors and we welcome well behaved, friendly dogs. We do have a leash law here in North Hero and ask you to clean up after your pet.

Our cottage is on a dead end road right on the lake shore. The residences on this street are spread out and there are acres of undeveloped land behind the cottage. This is a quiet, rural setting with amazing sunsets and vistas.

Lives in North Hero, Vermont
Butch is a native Vermonter who currently is retired after 42 years of working in the auto repair industry. Janet is a nursing professor and RN who works at the local hospital in Burlington. We have two grown sons and an adorable grandson. Our home is next door to the cottage and we live here year round. The seasons and views here on Lake Champlain are amazingly beautiful and we look forward to sharing them with our guests.
