Beautiful area

Guests love this home’s scenic location.
This handcrafted dwelling is set in the orchard of Easter Barton, a 200 acre working sheep farm situated on the outskirts of the picturesque village of Berrynarbor in North Devon. Situated overlooking a small pond, great for exploring the breathtaking nearby coastline. We are within walking distance of the South West Coast Path, and some fantastic beaches and coves. Pubs within walking distance, a well stocked, Community shop and PO just down the hill. Please note check in/out Fri and Mon.

The space
The Shepherds Retreat is well insulated with double glazing and heating is obtained from a beautiful, French, wood burning stove (free logs) and an electric wall heater. Cooking facilities include two portable gas camping cookers. 12 volt led lighting and power. Copper hand made sink. Fridge. The bed (double) has been made to convert into a sofa if required. This accommodation sits in it's own 1 acre orchard. All guests absolutely love the outdoor, hot water bath, and there’s room for two!

Guest access
Guests can park next to The Shepherd's Retreat. The bathroom is at the rear of the dwelling: a converted horsebox with slate floor, includes hot and cold running water, flush toilet and modern shower (with divide) also a Belfast sink. In the garden, a concrete hot water bath, outside (big enough for two!)

Other things to note
Check in/out Fridays and Mondays. We are a 20 minute drive from Woolacombe beach (3 miles of glorious sand) where you can try your hand at surfing. We are a ten minute walk from the South West Coast Path.
Beautiful Lundy Island can be reached by taking the Oldenburg from either Bideford or Ilfracombe.
Ilfracombe hosts a good array of restaurants and pubs, it is also home to the statue of 'Verity' by Damian Hirst.(A must see!)
