This review contains fake content and is unreliable. There are a lot of sentences, which just simply flew out of her imaginations and dreams and are untrue. Some parts of the story, those of her mistakes in particular, are hidden and minimalized. Here is the whole story and my rebuttals to her statements. Well, Porz, THE READERS ARE SMARTER THAN YOU THOUGHT.
Porz has had a strong feeling and been vengeful since WE TRIED TO REQUEST COMPENSATION FOR HER WRONGFUL CONDUCT(S) IN OUR APARTMENT and TO TEACH HER WHAT SHE SHOULD HAVE DONE IF THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG DURING HER STAY. In this case, whether she intentionally or unintentionally destroyed our property, we are unsure, but A SURE THING IS THAT OUR EXPENSIVE BLANKET WAS LOST SOMEWHERE DURING HER STAY. Of course, we preferred primarily not to discuss the matter with the police on the destruction of one’s property.
We had no idea what happened with our expensive blanket (as part of the whole bedding set which costs around 150-200 USD). She sent me her last message before she left Bangkok saying ‘Jay, something occurred with your blanket. But, I bought a new blanket for you.’ We have acknowledged this fact, but then Pat, my colleague, came to our apartment. He was perplexed after finding that OUR OLD BEAUTFUL BLANKET WAS NOT THERE. Plus, the blanket she bought is so cheap, and does not match the design of the room. We refused to the remedy and prefer to discuss about other solution. The remedy was unacceptable at first since she failed to discuss with us in a reasonable period of time.
We’re unsure whether to consider this as a THEFT OR DESTRUCTION OF ONE’S PROPERTY. So, I FIRST came to her to ASK POLITELY whether she kept the blanket anywhere or just destroyed it. Well, she seemed to be uncertain at first and then said she would talk to her mom first where it is. But, finally, she told us our blanket was thrown away. Then, INSTEAD OF DISCUSSING ABOUT RESOLUTION, SHE SHOT US WITH A SERIES OF IDIOT CRITICISMS ON ANYTHING SHE COULD THINK ABOUT IN THE ROOM. SMALL THINGS BECOME BIG. If AirBNB reads this, they can trace back what time she wrote the message.
Well, if our expensive blanket was dirty or anything happened to it, she should have sent the message to discuss about solution as the first step. Unfortunately, UNREASONABLE PORZ WAS UNABLE TO THINK ABOUT THIS.
Sometimes our guests made things in the room dirty or dysfunctional, we didn’t claim anything if the matter is less than severe or if guests are a good person. Of course, when guests say ‘APOLOGIES’, we couldn’t do anything except forgiving. Porz, why don’t you think of this fact. We forgive all guests but not you.
Porz is an egocentric, unreasonable, aggressive and ungrateful guest. She didn’t even say apologies or sorry for the destruction of our blanket. She dug out subjectively self-constructed memories, most of which are small weak spots, and some of which are real but ascribable to her carelessness actually.
For example, she had a clumsy claim on our shower drain. Her statement shows that the claim was made on arrival, but this is not true. It was made after something occurred. Porz checked in on June 8th, 2018. She just complained about the clogged drain on June 11th, 2018 at 3:34 a.m. (Thai time). After her checkout, our witnesses found a great amount of hair in the shower drain and hair, hair and hair in the room. After readers contemplate the fact, we are quite sure to conclude that THE SHOWER DRAIN WAS CLOGGED NOT ON ARRIVAL, BUT ON THE THIRD DAY AFTER THE ACCUMULATION OF A TREMENDOUS AMOUNT OF HER HAIRS. I admit that our drainage system is so sensitive to certain kinds of objects. But, no drainage system in this world has been designed to accommodate any kind of substances. It is also the burden of the user to be mindful of anything they let flow therein. Reasonable female guests with long hair have always picked their hair and do not let it flow into the area. We have already suggested her to do this. She ignored and kept complaining. Porz made herself the center of attention and failed to collaborate.
After we cleared her folded long hairs out of the drain, it resumed the proper functioning as normal. 3 guests after her did not experience any kind of drain problems. We admit that our shower drain does have less capacity than other places, which is resulted from many factors. But, this requires also collaboration from guests to take care of their stuff before letting it into the area. 2-3 guests that experienced the drainage problem were humble enough to collaborate with us, by following our recommendations. One of them poured oily liquid. Two of them let their long hair into the area. They followed our instructions before we came to help them solve. We didn’t come to help at first since she’s required to collaborate with us by pursuing the instruction.
She said, “[t]he shower also did not drain properly, which sadly the host didn't disclose... I contacted the host immediately about these issues and he suggested that his friend come...”
Jay: No! This is from her imagination. I did not suggest that my friend come. She didn’t even request us to come to resolve the drainage problem. Pat, my colleague, made the suggestion as he has made to other guests. We asked her to collaborate by opening the cover and take her hairs out of the area. She did not collaborate on this matter. She didn’t even make it clear whether she needs someone to help. I see no point of treating this person as a princess, like trying to guess whatever she is thinking and please her in any possible ways. Well, WE ARE NOT YOUR SUBORDINATE, PORZ. If one follows whatever complaints you made, he or she is just poorly subject your process of ENSLAVEMENT! Trying to reduce costs of everything with an aim to maximize your own benefits at expense of others’ investments.
Porz: “I contacted the host immediately about these issues and he suggested that his friend come and clean the place when I am in the apartment. His friend instead let themselves into the apartment when I was not present...”
Jay: I am concerned with your memory, Porz. lol I admitted that Pat and the housemaid came in the room while you were not there, but the communication between you and Pat shows your (either implicit or explicit) consent to let Pat into the room especially her last message saying that you acknowledged Pat’s service and thanked him nicely. This is not a piece of evidence that proves your consent for letting Pat into the room? Your claim is being now made too late.
Porz: “I should have left at this point, but the refund offered by the system was incredibly low so I decided to fix the problem myself and clean the bathroom.”
Jay: No! An important part of the story was cut off. After she request for rescission of the contract, we agreed to terminate the contract because we didn’t like this guest. She is the worst guest we ever have. We are more than happy to terminate the contract with her. Well, after we told her to return the key and keycard, she returned to ask us to continue the contract with a lower fee. I’m not sure whether she really wanted to terminate the contract or just intended to use the termination as a leverage for price negotiations. As regards her claim that she fixed the problem and clean the bathroom, our witness told us she didn’t clean anything. The room in general was left unclean. I mean unclean for the whole week of her stay.
Porz: “On arrival I was greeted with a shower full of mold (seriously, it looked like it had not been cleaned in months), a toilet covered in dried urine and a bathroom sink caked with grime.
Jay: This is an overstatement. She just wanted to take revenge after we claimed for compensation. As per your complaint on the toilet, the picture we had shows that the urine was just placed there some hours or a day before her arrival. A skipped fact is that we gave the room key to her acquaintance one day before her arrival. She should have asked her people whether they used the room one night before or release the urine on the toilet.
I’m not sure whether the AirBNB is a proper place to address this issue. I think that our condominium should no more welcome you as a guest to come in any future. As regards the inconclusive fact either of destroying or stealing property (sorry, it can be thought in 2 ways still. It could be destroying or stealing.) and suppressing your human fellows, which ruins values of concept of AirBNB, and of misleading the concept of sharing economy as AirBNB is cherishing, we should altogether ban this type of guests from both AirBNB as well as on non-AirBNB platform.
