This is an excellent place to stay if you're travelling around Perthshire. It's just outside Blairgowrie and in easy driving distance to other towns and villages in the area. There is also a pub which is a 5 minute walk from the cottage. The cottage itself is set in a lovely garden. Our 2 year old loved running around and chasing the chickens. There are stairs down from the patio to the garden so we needed to keep an eye on him but the garden was brilliant. A quite spot. The host, Keith, was really nice, happy to help with anything.

We would highly recommend a visit to Fir Tree Lodge. We stayed at the lodge with some family & friends for a birthday weekend and it was ideal. Communication from Mel prior to arrival was no hassle whatsoever. Mel provided us with pin-point directions to the lodge. On arrival we guided down to the lodge and shown round quickly with instructions on how to turn the heating on. Mel had left some fresh eggs for us directly from one of her on-site Hens and some milk which was a nice touch. The grounds outside are lovely which all lodges have full use of. The lodge is in walking distance into the town centre. The old cross inn just up the road from the lodge serves amazing food if you fancied nipping out for some lunch or dinner. Overall we had a great weekend & enjoyed our stay.

Mel greeted us with fresh eggs and milk from their farm! The wooden house was really lovely to stay. It was nice to stay a little away from the urban life, there was no wifi in the room ( but you can walk a few steps to their house and there was signal.) They built the house and there were lots of beautiful design and decorations in the room. The seafood restaurant Mel recommend was really nice.

We had a lovely stay at Fir Tree Lodge. The lodge itself was extremely spacious and well laid out and very clean. The town of Blairgowrie is within walking distance with a good selection of shops. We were lucky with the weather do made the most of the peaceful setting. Would definitely recommend and will definitely go back.
