Where you’ll be

Shediac, New Brunswick, Canada

Shediac is a vacation paradise nestled along New Brunswick’s spectacular eastern seashore. Known as The Lobster Capital of the World, this is where you’ll find The World’s Largest Lobster – Stop and have your picture taken with it!

Take a dip in the finest saltwater beaches in Eastern Canada! With waters peaking at 24 degrees Celsius (75 degrees Fahrenheit), it's the warmest water north of Virginia. Boating, windsurfing, golf and hiking are just a few of the town's attractions.

There are many fine restaurants serving succulent seafood, from scallops to Atlantic salmon to lobster, of course! Stop for a rest at an outdoor café, or search for that special trinket in the many shops, boutiques and art galleries.

See the best of local artisans at the Artist Village and at the Sunday Market. Don’t miss the Lobster Festival and the many other activities!

Shediac is a community of firsts! New Brunswick’s first steam sawmill was built here, the first passenger railroad in the Maritimes was located here, and this is where the first shipbuilding firm in New Brunswick started out. And with such a vibrant and rich Acadian heritage, it’s also fitting that this was the home of the first Congrès mondial acadien (Acadian World Congress).

We're both polymaths. We're musicians & co-owners of a music studio. We're the proud parents of two beautiful girls (Amélie and Évangéline). We've travelled to over 50 countries counted together. We got engaged after walking 1000km on the Camino de Santiago. All seven of our university degrees are in different disciplines. We have a total of 30 years of university education together. We are the five-time winner of the biggest costume contest in Newfoundland. In addition to this, Séb has been the Mayor of the Town of Witless Bay (NL), he's an alumnus of Action Canada, and an actor. Heather masters a number of instruments, including the viola, the violin, the piano, and the Highland bagpipes (which she never plays when guests are sleeping :) !
