Great place, nice and quiet and spacious. Had everything there that you would need for a short or long stay. Communication was great and a very smooth and easy process.

I really liked this house. Great location, superb views and nature right outside. Full of character and not like anywhere we have stayed before through airbnb.

A great place when you want to forget about city life and enjoy nature! Check in was a breeze, however later that night we found we had no gas and couldn't cook or have warm showers. Jane was quick to respond first thing in the morning and by mid afternoon we were back "cooking with gas" as they say. pent a lot of time out on the veranda enjoying the view and listening to the birds. On our first night we got home to a gorgeous green tree frog who spent several hours on the balcony and wasn't bothered by us - however he did not return for the remainder of our stay unfortunately. The house is in a lovely peaceful area - but you do need a car for ease of getting around. The beds were comfy enough. The kitchen was a great size for a family, however the pantry could do with a good clean out! The house is quite dark and would benefit from some skylights in the lounge room I think. Aircon and fans throughout the place made for nice relief from the heat. A nice place - but a bit too cluttered and dark - which made it feel very "heavy" after a few days. Overall - we had a great stay here.

When they say this is a nature lover's paradise they really mean it. You can hear the bird song from the scenic balcony surrounded by tranquil forest. All this and only 20 mins from Cairns CBD. Jane the manager was very efficient in her communications and even arranged for a lock for the stair gate as we have young children. We enjoyed our stay at Brinsmead and would recommend this property to those looking for an authentic 'home from home' experience.

Lovely place, a home away from home. We were a little worried about the suitability for our 4 and 2 year old with the stairs and bookcase full of books and DVDs etc but it turned out not to be a problem. Nice to enjoy an evening meal on the deck overlooking the rainforest and yet being near to all cairns has to offer.

This house would be absolutely fabulous if it would be clean as well. Cobwebs and dust, mouldy smell and expired food in the pantry. Gecko droppings everywhere, and I mean inside as well. We quickly cleaned some of the windows so we can enjoy the view... This home needs some care and love, in the form of a proper cleaning! We opened some books and it had the clay-nest of a wasp in it! Plants were also dying and withered everywhere. It was sad to see a home like this in this state...

This is the kind of place that Airbnb dreams are made of. We just wanted to stay and soak it in! It is very comfortable and has a very well equipped kitchen. It is filled with a lifetime of souvenirs, knick knacks and music/movies/books from all over the world. It has a beautiful outlook over rainforest, and is located near the end of a quiet cul-de-sac. The peace is palpable. If you don't like clutter, or if you're a minimalist, maybe give this place a miss. But be warned that you're missing out on a real treat. We had a little bit of difficulty arranging a time to check in, but Jane was helpful and friendly once she arrived to let us in.
