Be it your first night in Auckland or your last, our home is perfectly placed by Auckland airport for a night's rest.
Our sun drenched 1930's Californian bungalow with great indoor/outdoor flow and extensive decking is a combination of comfort and space.
Your room with a Queen bed and bathroom are both off the kitchen in a separate area from the hosts main living area so consider it your own suite, but with access to the rest of the home.
The property is fully fenced. Parking onsite is available by prior arrangement.
You have direct access to the modern and functional kitchen. You are welcome to cook light meals, please clean after yourselves.
Arrival time is flexible as there is a lockbox by the entrance and we can make arrangements to provide access to the house.
Interaction with guests
We are happy to answer any questions, help plan your stay and can be involved as much or as little as you need.
Other things to note
PLEASE NOTE: There are train tracks approximately 50m behind the house. Most trains are electric but the freight trains do pass through at night. Being so close to the airport we are in the way of flight paths and therefore encounter aircraft noise.
We use scented products in the toilet and in the bedroom, if this will be a problem, please let us know and we will happily remove these.
No outside shoes in the house.
No smoking in the house. Smoking allowed on the deck area.
Please NO eating in the room, the kitchen is right outside your door and you are most welcome to use it.
Please note we cannot accomodate more than 2 guests.
Parking onsite is available by prior arrangement otherwise there is plenty of street parking.
Other than that, we just ask that you treat our home as you would yours.
My husband PJ and I are relatively new to hosting. We both work in the aviation industry but we don't travel as often as we'd like to so instead, we'd love to share our home and our NZ with you.
PJ is a sports enthusiast and I'm a lover of all things vintage. We may enjoy different things but together we share a love of food, spending quality time with family and shopping - well, he shoe shops and I thrift. :-)
