Interaction with guests
I live in the apartment below where you will be staying. I can greet you and walk you through the apartment. I will be your contact for anything you need throughout your stay.
Other things to note
As I said, this is an old building and sometimes the key gets stuck in the door. Be patient and simply jiggle it back and forth and it'll work. Accordingly, the walls are thin and on weekend nights you might be able to hear people going up and down the stairs.
USB chargers are built into the wall in case you ever forget yours or don't feel like carrying it with you. If you are traveling from outside of North America, I can provide you with plug adapters so that you can convert US outlets and ensure that your stuff will be charged during your stay.
Please be respectful of the other tenants who you will be sharing the apartment with. Leave the common areas, bathroom and kitchen, clean. Please do not leave dirty dishes in the sink or food out on the table. During the week, please do not use the common areas past 11; if absolutely necessary please be quiet as it is an old building and sound really travels.
Temperature Adjustment: The thermostat is right next to the front door of the apartment. Please feel free to adjust it accordingly. Or you can open windows or use the space heater for more personalized adjustment. Due to the age of the building, the common spaces have no heaters built into them; please feel free to put one heater in the kitchen to warm it up if needed.(URL HIDDEN) During the warmer months, please turn off the Air Conditioner when you are out of the apartment.(URL HIDDEN)Please rinse and place recyclable bottles below the sink in the brown paper bags; most things are recyclable in Massachusetts.
********Lost keys cost $100 to replace. They have to be specially made to fit into both the building door and the apartment door; they require a two hour wait.
