Muirlands is a 3 bedroom home, however, the third bedroom sleeps up to 5 kids in beds.

This home is a families delight with partial ocean views - from the guest bedroom, back patio and street, spacious living, a canyon garden to explore and within walking distance to both the Village shops and Beach.

Arriving at Muirlands, park in the driveway or garage and walk up the path through the newly landscaped garden to the front door.

Inside is a spacious living room with HD Big Screen TV, Cable, picture windows and complete with a piano.

The dining area is attached to the open, fully equipped kitchen. There is seating for 10 around both tables and the kitchen is newly remodeled with modern appliances.

Muirlands features 3 bedrooms in the home – the first 2 bedrooms both have king beds and the 3rd bedroom, has a full size bed, and a bunk bed with full size on the bottom and twin on the top. The children's room also has great ocean views.

There are 2 bathrooms, one with a walk in shower that serves the guest room and the children's room. The second bathroom has a tub/shower combo for the master bedroom.
A very large back patio with beautiful views over the canyon garden with dining table and chairs for al fresco dining is available off the dining room.

The garage houses the washer and dryer along with beach chairs, boogie boards, beach umbrella and beach towels. There is room for one large car or SUV.

Muirlands is located in a quiet residential neighborhood on the outskirts of The Village of La Jolla. It is an easy walk into all the main shops, restaurants and boutiques that line Girard Ave and Prospect St.

The closest beach is Windansea – just 4 blocks walk and the local, Olympic size public pool is a block from the house.

Visit The Contemporary Museum of Art, The Comedy Club, La Jolla Rec Centre and visit the seals – all a short walk from the house.

Jump on the freeway for Seaworld, The San Diego Zoo, Balboa Park, Downtown Gas Lamp District, Petco Park, Legoland, The Safari Park, Old Town and many other treats San Diego has to offer.


No Smoking is allowed inside any of our properties. You are welcome to smoke in outside areas of the home.

This home is located in a quiet neighborhood and is only suitable for quieter groups. Our rental agreement includes a no tolerance policy regarding excessive noise, occupancy and/or parties. Deposit forfeitures and/or evictions are strictly enforced.

For homes that allow pets there are certain rules that always apply. Pets are never to be left alone in the homes unattended. If you plan to spend time away from your pet please find a doggy daycare. You can call our office for recommendations.

There will be a $25/night pet fee for any pets

Guest hereby assumes all risk of damage to any and all personal property of Management and Guest, including household furniture, appliances and/or equipment, landscaping, flooring and goods during such use and occupancy. Guest hereby assumes any and all risks associated with the foregoing and agrees to hold Management and Owner harmless from and indemnify Management and Owner against the same.

It is agreed that the Premises shall be used only for residential purposes, and for no other purpose whatsoever.
Guest in his possession, use and occupancy of the Premises agrees to observe and comply with all restrictions, laws and ordinances affecting the Premises or occupancy thereof.
Guest further agrees that no use shall be made of the Premises, or acts done which will increase the existing rate of insurance upon the Premises, or will cause a cancellation of any insurance policy covering the Premises.

Smoking is not permitted in any residence.

Events and parties are strictly prohibited in all our properties.

HOLD HARMLESS: The undersigned Guest, for himself/herself, his/her heirs, assignors, executors and administrators, fully releases and discharges Manager and the Owner of the property from any and all claims, demands and causes of action by reason of any injury or whatever nature which has or have occurred, or may occur to Guest, or any of his/her guests as a result of, or in connection with the occupancy of the premises and agrees to hold Manager and Owner free and harmless of any claim or suit arising there from. Neither does Manager or Owner accept liability for any inconvenience arising from any temporary defects or stoppage in supply of water, gas, and electricity, cable and wifi connection, outside construction noises, or plumbing.
Guest, for himself/herself, his/her heirs, assignors, executors, and administrators, fully releases and discharges Manager/Owner from any and all claims, demands, and causes of action by reason of any injury or whatever nature which has or have occurred, or may occur to the undersigned, or any of his/her guests as a result of, or in connection with the occupancy of the premises and agrees to hold Manager/Owner free and harmless of any claim or suit arising there from. In any action concerning the rights, duties or liabilities of the parties to this agreement, their principals, agents, successors or assignees the prevailing party shall be entitled to recover reasonable attorney fees and costs.

By state law, occupancy may not exceed what is posted for each home. Maximum occupancy includes infants and children.
You must be 25 years of age or older to book a property with us and must accompany the occupants during the entire stay reserved.
Noise ordinances are strictly enforced in all our properties. You must respect the surrounding neighbors and any loud noise after 10:00 pm. May necessitate law enforcement intervention which will terminate your contract and result in immediate removal from the property with no refund for any remaining nights still paid for.
No Kegs allowed.
No parties of any kind are permitted in our homes unless previously approved by La Jolla Vacation Rentals Ca.
No RV`s or Campers allowed on the premises.
You must notify La Jolla Vacation Rentals Ca immediately if any maintenance problems occur.
No prior notice is required for La Jolla Vacation Rentals Ca or its representatives to enter the property to make necessary repairs/inspection. La Jolla Vacation Rentals Ca. will make every effort to notify Lessee prior to entering the property.
You may not assign responsibility or sublet – you must be the intended occupant of the property during the entire stay.
Any dog left unattended during your stay in either the home or the yard, and is barking or creating any nuisance will terminate your contract and result in immediate removal from the property with no refund given for any remaining nights paid for.

Unless specified, check-in time is after 4:00 p.m., and checkout by 11:00 a.m. on the day of departure. All properties represented by La Jolla Vacation Rentals CA come fully equipped with television(s), linens, dishes and utensils and an initial supply of soap and paper goods. Other amenities vary per property.
The property shall be in the same condition upon departure as at check-in. Normal wear and tear excepted. Owner or its agents may enter the property at reasonable times to make repairs or provide maid service. Guest may cook in areas specifically designated for cooking. Guest must immediately notify Owner or agent of fire or other damage to property. Guest shall be liable for all acts of the family, invitees, employees, or other persons invited onto the property. Guest may not sublet or assign this rental agreement. Guest shall be responsible to return all keys and gate or garage door openers upon departure. Guest shall abide by the House Rules of the Owner, Property Manager, Condominium Association and/or the Booking Agent as provided to Guest. Guest will not smoke indoors. Guest will rinse feet of sand prior to entering the unit. No parties shall be allowed without prior consent. Additional charges may apply. No catering or outside music permitted without prior consent, additional charges may apply. Guest shall not permit any use of pool or Jacuzzi by unsupervised children or other guests, and shall keep gates closed. Guest and other invitees shall use the pool and Jacuzzi at their own risk. Guest understands that there are certain inherent risks to person and property located adjacent to the ocean or to a golf course, including the possibility of drowning or being struck by a golf ball. Guest acknowledges that the owner would not rent the property unless the Guest accepted this condition.
Under no circumstances shall be responsible for any loss, expense, damages, claims or injury direct, indirect, consequential or otherwise whatsoever, howsoever caused or incurred whether arising in contract or otherwise in law or equity as a result of rendering of the services or accommodations as described or substituted and including, without restricting the generality of the foregoing as a result of any delay(s), substitution(s), rescheduling(s) or change(s) in the provision of services or land accommodations by La Jolla Vacation Rentals Ca or by reason of military actions, revolution or acts of God, government agencies, or unforeseen circumstances or events, by any agents, owners, employees, subcontractors, servants or services as substituted; La Jolla Vacation Rentals Ca, at all times will act in good faith and use its best efforts to substitute with accommodations or services of a type as comparable as possible to those contracted. La Jolla Vacation Rentals Ca will not be liable under any circumstances, including substitutions, to refund any unused portion of booked accommodations or services. Some activities in which guests engage are especially dangerous and include scuba diving, snorkeling, deep-sea fishing, boating, golfing, swimming, boogie boarding, surfing, hiking, biking and mountain climbing. This list is not all-inclusive, but indicates some of the hazards of vacationing in San Diego. Guests may also encounter the following risks: slippery floors and stairs, especially when wet, lanais with spaces between rails (dangerous for little children), precipitous drop-offs on ocean floor, unfenced pools, faulty electrical or plumbing systems, gas BBQ grills, clean/clear sliding glass doors, and dangerous stairs or pathways, Therefore, each guest agrees that he/she is voluntarily participating in any and all activities, risks, and use of the accommodations, and hereby assumes all risk of injury, illness, damage or loss to person and property that might result, including, without limitation, any loss or theft of personal property. By booking this rental, you acknowledge that in all events and circumstances, La Jolla Vacation Rentals Ca, its officers and employees shall not be liable. La Jolla Vacation Rentals Ca reserves the right to cancel or rescind any rental agreement if it is found that the Guests are conducting unlawful activities, not abiding by the Home Owners Association House Rules, disturbing others by playing loud music, percussion, audio or instruments, or cause any loud or offensive noises, have made any misrepresentations about the nature or size of the group or use of the group or the use of the property or any other misrepresentations or any other way in breach of the rental agreement(URL HIDDEN) INSURANCE:
You understand that our insurance does not cover your belongings or damage that you cause. You agree that we are not responsible for any loss or damage during the term of the rental agreement. You agree to carry insurance covering all of your personal property located in the unit or bear full responsibility for its damage including damage from fire, water, theft, or any cause.
I/we, the undersigned, hereby apply for the above listed accommodation and warrant that I/we have read, understand and agree to the terms and conditions of this application, and I/we agree to abide by homeowners/agents/association restrictions on use of said property. I/we further understand and represent that I/we are executing this application on behalf of all parties named on the guest list.

Home is located excellent to all tourist spots of San Diego. You are pretty much 20 minutes from anything. Loved it!!

The house is very nice and spacious - very close to the beach! We were a bit disappointed with the noise level of the neighborhood as there are schools and athletic fields very close to the house - and also some temporary construction next door. Hosts were very nice and helpful - easy check-in.

Location was GREAT! There is a ocean view, but the house being built next door will soon block it. So sad. The backyard is very private. There is a school behind the house... in the distance.. I enjoyed hearing the school bells, reminded me of yester years! Not a backyard to let little ones run around without (URL HIDDEN) there are no fences and a step downgrade to a very large green belt. Perfect for viewing,very very relaxing. Pictures are accurate on website. Looks like they are remolding in areas.. kitchen is clean and bright. Had everything we needed to cook breakfast. Grocery store is walking distance. No fault of owner, but the street is very busy, most abide by the speed limits however some did travel quite (URL HIDDEN) hold onto your little ones hands. I'd also recommend backing into the driveway. Having access to the garage is great. We did not use any of the toys for the beach, but they are there. The neighborhood is a very quite, and seen many folks walking up and down the streets. Checking in and out was painless, they were very responsive with all my questions. I would recommend to my family and friends.

Great location and perfect for large groups especially families. We stayed for a wedding and it was perfect for us. It was very relaxing to sit outside in the morning and eat breakfast. The neighborhood was scenic and quiet.

Lovely house and walkable to La Jolla. Stayed there with our extended family and had a wonderful time!

This is a nice home to stay at if you want to base your stay in La Jolla. Comfortable and well appointed. Location is good, but walk to beach is about 15 minute stroll. However, don't expect to have a peaceful view of the ocean from home. There is a school behind backyard with bells and kids.
