My party and I were decently impressed with our stay this weekend at Marti’s. We came to float the river in New Braunfels, and ride horses in Blanco for my boyfriend’s 25th birthday. Location was not ideal, but not inconvenient from these two places. Marti has a great patio/backyard where we spent most of our time. The townhouse is cute outside in a quiet gated community, but was very much currently lived in, unlike my other stays with Airbnb, and that kind of freaked me out a little. As soon as we walked in there was a pile of kitty litter like dirt in the foyer. The kitchen table was dirty/sticky, the counters/stove needed to be wiped down, along with the visibly dirty refrigerator handle. The inside of the refrigerator was unorganized and gross as well with left overs wrapped in foil. The sink was clean and empty. The trash can in the pantry was half way full when we got there and stunk up the pantry/kitchen very badly. The rest of the house appeared to be clean, but in a “don’t look too closely” way. However, Marti communicated with me well over text throughout our stay and was extremely flexible with the check-in/check-out, which I greatly appreciated. I will note that I am a very clean person, so some people may not be bothered by the dirtiness. My group wasn’t necessarily bothered by it, but definitely noticed it and were put off by it. Overall is was a good stay for what we were looking for.
