Truly a cozy, lovely cabin in the woods. Perfect place to recreate and unwind from your daily life. Located in the woods and with the pond right in front of you, you won't face any problems to enjoy your stay. Katherine is a wonderful host, providing you with detailed information about everything. Furthermore, the cabin offers many leisure activities like e.g. kajaking.

The cabin is amazing and our family had a great time! We were 4 adults, 2 children and an infant which offered perfect and comfortable accommodations for all of us. The amount of activities/equipment that come with the cabin is understated. Everything you could need and more is there. Katherine has taken into consideration every little detail. A friendly, responsive host that clearly takes pride in this cabin and her guests experience. If you want to truly get away from it all, this is the perfect place to relax or participate in the many different activities available.

We had a fabulous week at Katie’s cabin. The cabin is perfectly situated only feet from the “pond” (it’s really more of a lake) with a nice outside porch-like space that has two tables, Adirondack chairs, lounge chairs and a couple of wooden benches. The cabin is pleasantly well stocked on games, puzzles, beach towels, and water toys, and we appreciated the mix of rustic charm with some amenities (yay for the dishwasher!). Everything was very comfortable. We loved having the use of the kayaks, the canoe and paddleboard, and spent most of our time either at or in the water. Overall the lake is quiet and serene with loons, ducks, osprey, and we even spotted a couple of bald eagles hanging out. Now and then there was some motorized activity on the lake (jet skiers across the way, motor boat, and water plane landing), but not too much to feel like it ruined the peace. The lake can be a bit rough when the wind picks up (which, on the other hand, was nice for keeping bugs at bay!). We ventured into Ellsworth for groceries (and icecream) a couple of times, and spent one day at Acadia NP. But mostly we were happy just hanging out at the cabin. There is another cabin off the same driveway, which we didn’t know prior to our arrival, but we hardly noticed the couple that was staying there. There’s enough distance with trees and underbrush to give a sense of separate properties. The neighbors were very quiet, and very friendly the one time we met them. Overall, we all had a great time and are definitely considering coming back. Thanks, Katie!
