This gorgeous Edwardian Villa is close to the city centre, parks, art and culture, views, restaurants, cafes and shops. Two blocks from the river, it is also not far from the beach.
You’ll love my place because you have your own private lounge area and ensuite within your bedroom, and the shared kitchen is just across the hallway. As the villa has two kitchens, you will mostly have this one to yourself.
Quiet and restful it is great for solo adventurers and business travelers.
Rose Cottage is a villa that is over 100 years old. Full of character and charm, it is situated on a quarter acre section of gardens and fruit trees.
Staying in the 'Rose Room' you will have your own private space which includes: a Queen sized bed with electric blanket; your own private unsuite with handbasin, shower and toilet; your own lounge area.
Just across the hallway from your bedroom is a kitchen and dining area. If you are the only guest staying at the time, you will mostly have this kitchen all to yourself. This is because the villa has two kitchens and so the owner can mostly use the other one.
The kitchen includes stove, oven, dishwasher, microwave, fridge and freezer, toaster and tea and coffee making facilities. There is also cuttlery, crockery, pots and pans etc. There is a six seater dining table and a cane lounge suite within this large area.
You will be provided with tea, coffee, herbal teas, milk and a Continental breakfast daily.
More photos of the kitchen area will be added soon.
Interaction with guests
I would love to chat with you if and when you want me to, or else I am happy to let you have some quiet space to yourself if you would prefer.

Hello :-) oh boy - that's tricky to describe oneself - let's see ... well, I love animals, I play the guitar & sing and write Christian songs. I love meeting people. I love people, even if they are very different from me, no matter their background, belief system or ethnic origin.
I love playing board games. I enjoy gardening. I love nature and the outdoors, a starry night and the South Island scenery.
Well, there you go - that wasn't so hard once I got into it - actually I had trouble knowing when to stop ;-)
