It is our regret that Mandy & Mikey did not have a good experience staying at our home, however it would appear that they have little understanding of the concept of airbnb ie that they are being welcomed into other peoples homes. It would also seem that they never read the house manual on our listing as this would have answered all aspects of their complaint prior to their arrival, or indeed their booking. We are fortunate to live in the countryside, a generally very quiet location as all other reviews have highlighted. Daily traffic cannot be determined especially at harvest time or when diversions have been set up on the main road however the bin lorry arrives for approximately 1 minute every Wednesday morning, this is unavoidable. This is our home however when guests are using the hot tub we always make ourselves scarce to ensure their privacy. If we are in the garden when guests come around to that area we immediately take ourselves away from the situation, again to ensure privacy. The hot tub did trip the electric fuse in our house and power would have gone down. This has happened on a couple of occasions however when guests make us aware of the problem it is rectified immediately. It was only when I was checking the tub's chemistry in the morning that I noticed the power had tripped. I went round to the guests to advise them that when this happens they should make us aware and we can immediately rectify the problem however they were busy getting ready and didn't hear me at their door. I didn't want to disturb them and planned to discuss later when they were free. The listing also advises of electricity charges, which are minimal but are required to discourage guests from leaving electrical appliances on when not in the house. We did not charge this couple due to their early departure.
Unfortunately, whilst we endeavour to do so, we can't please everyone all of the time however our reviews speak for themselves.
