Housed in a 100-year-old building nestled between the Victorian houses in New Haven's historic City Point neighborhood, once the center of New England's oyster trade, our cottage is a two-block walk from the marina (and its award-winning restaurant), a 10 minute-drive from the West Haven beaches and a few minutes' drive to Yale.

The space
A one-bedroom with a loft, our cottage was built using largely salvaged, recycled and repurposed materials like reclaimed wood, a 60s Geneva steel kitchen cabinet and an old telephone company ladder. It also features modern conveniences like wifi, a 40-inch chef's stove, large-screen TV, and smarthome system. The bedroom has a king-sized bed; the cozy sleep loft above features a skylight and queen-sized mattress.

Where you’ll be

New Haven, Connecticut, United States

The historic, close-knit neighborhood of City Point is also known as Oyster Point: Back in the day, it was a major hub of New England's oyster trade. Today, grand Victorians still line Howard Avenue, but the marina is instead home to one of New Haven's best restaurants, Shell & Bones, and a cute little diner, City Point Kitchen, for breakfast & lunch.

During your stay

We like to give guests their privacy, but also like to know who's coming. (This is our home, after all.) So when you put in a booking request, please give us your name, a little about what brings you and who's coming with. Then once you're here, we'll stay out of your hair, unless you ask for restaurant recommendations or the low-down on the nearest grocery stores. (Then we're just a text or door knock away.)
