Beautiful rural getaway in the hills. Easily accessible by state highway and comfortably sleeps 8-10 ppl. Set amidst lush greenery & overlooking the valley, Jamta village is 20 mins from the town of Nahan. Great walking routes, treks & waterfalls.
We are located in Sirmour District of Himachal Pradesh within 4 hours reach from New Delhi, 1 hour from Ambala and 30 mins from Kala Amb. Grand View resort and the historical Jaitak Fort are within a short walking distance. The Renukaji lake, Giri river & Lion safari are a short drive of 30 minutes.
The villa includes four en suite bedrooms with kingsize beds. Two rooms directly face the valley through large bay windows. There is air-conditioning and heaters in the house, a washing machine, two flat screen televisions with satellite cable, dining area, living room area, modern barbecue station, fully equipped kitchen, books and games.
The property is cared for by Ram Singh and a cleaner who will always be available to clean and maintain the property during any guest stay.
We do all our own cooking on site, and would encourage our guests to bring their food and drink from Nahan and cook it in the fully operational Kitchen and barbecue. The staff will be able to source some limited ingredients locally, as well as vegetables from our own kitchen garden. We do keep Beers, Cokes, milk, butter, and food basics on site (herbs, oil, rice, pasta, dal etc) which will be charged to you at the end of your stay at the local retail rates.
If you would like us to arrange for meals to be cooked on site, we will need a minimum 1 week's notice. A word of warning - the food will be fairly basic : rice, dal, local vegetable, fish & chicken curries, chapattis.
The cost will be Rs 1,500 per day for the cook's service, and whatever the local cost of ingredients is for your party. Ram Singh will keep a count and present a bill at the end of each day, or at the end of your stay, whichever works best for you.
We encourage you to have a good time but please note any damages made to or within the property will be accounted for and charged accordingly during check-out.
My ancestral home is in Dadahu which is 40 mins from Nahan and I've been travelling to Himachal ever since I was a little girl.
The more I explore this place the more I am enthralled by its beauty and simplicity of its people.
A few years ago we decided to build a home here and it has proven to be the best decision we could have taken. When here I like to unplug, eat locally grown produce, listen to country music, take long nature hikes or read a book on a lazy day.
