Chintha’s is a spacious villa with large windows that allow in a nice breeze. It’s great for small groups, as it includes two big double rooms, one medium double room, two bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen and a large dining area. Built 5 years ago, the villa was recently renovated specifically to host guests. The villa is located in a garden with coconut trees, mango trees and cinnamon trees, and if you’re lucky, you can get a fresh King Coconut from the garden.
Interaction with guests
Your hosts are the sisters Ms. Chintha and Ms. Kumudini, who inherited the villa from their father. Both sisters live with their families, about 200 metres from the villa. Ms.Chintha can prepare local meals if you request a day in advance.
Neverbeen offers a wide variety of rare homes off the beaten track, from fisherman's huts and tree houses to heritage homes and tea estates. Our team hand-picks and visits every home and meet all hosts to make ensure guests have a positively memorable stay in places they've never been.
We provide travellers and home owners in challenging locations with access to one another, by offering communication services, online marketing services and tourism training, so that locals can make a living off their home and travellers can get to stay in places they have never been.
As such, Neverbeen works for a world in which everyone has the chance to earn income by renting out their home, regardless of language, internet access and tourism experience.
In Sri Lanka, Dishan manages our growing group of homes in cooperation with our scouts, while Rohan creates listings and provides service. In Amsterdam, Marten works out international growth plans. Our team of in-house programmers is constantly developing the platform itself and Ernst & Young does our finances.
The first country we're active in is Sri Lanka, a beautiful country with many undiscovered places to stay. Due to it recently having opened up to tourism after decades of conflict, it is a great place to start and pilot the Neverbeen concept. We plan to expand to ten countries before the end of 2017.
