Brixton is a legendary location with its food, music, events , full of interest at every turn. Our very local park ( just at the the top of the road) , delightful Brockwell Park is one of London’s loveliest open spaces, and gives you 125 acres of fine parkland with ornamental ponds, formal flower beds, a fine walled flower and plant garden, children’s area and a 19th century clock tower. It also contains Brockwell Hall and the famous Brockwell Lido. I'm a frequent AirBnB-er (especially in London) and this was, hands down, the best AirBnB room I've ever stayed in! The room is beautiful, clean spacious and bright. What's actually missing in the photos is the tea/coffee making facilities which I thought was a really nice touch. There's also a hairdryer in the room and several shampoos, shower gels etc. to choose from in the lovely ensuite bathroom. The flat is in a gated development and a stone's throw from Herne Hill centre and all its cafés, restaurants, pubs and the beautiful Brockwell park. With a nice welcome note in the room and breakfast provided (plus if you get lucky a slice of Noelle's delicious banana cake!), a TV and the other nice little touches I've mentioned, it all feels like a more personalised hotel experience, not least because Noelle and Debra are also lovely and very welcoming hosts. I now feel bad that I have used 5 star ratings in the past in comparison to this experience, so please consider this a 6* rating... :-) Highly recommended.

I booked the lovely ensuite room in Noelle and Debra's home for my mum, as she was visiting me in London for the weekend and was only 10 mins from my place. We chose this instead of a hotel or b&b and it couldn't have been better. Both Noelle and Debra were very friendly and hospitable. The room itself was modern, clean and airy with a large bathroom. Herne Hill is a great area to base yourself in for a weekend in London and we would highly recommend this place!

Noelle's home was very cozy. The warm welcome and the whole interior was perfect that we felt like we were at home! The entrance, the living room, the dining room, the room and the bathroom was nicely decorated. The choices of continental breakfast was a great touch. We could go around the kitchen as if it were ours and it was always fully stocked. The bathroom has a good selections of soaps, shampoo and conditioner. First aid kit was even available on our bedroom in case we need them. The location was very ideal for us as our activities were around the area - and we love Herne Hill as well. Noelle was also very knowledgeable of the history of the neighborhood. She surely was the perfect person to give you tips on what, where around there! Everything was perfect for us. We will surely come back. Thank you, Noelle!

If Airbnb did awards I would nominate Noelle and Deb for the loveliest, kindest, most generous hosts award. They made me feel at home right away and were eager to make sure that I had everything I needed. Unlike a lot of hosts, they are genuinely interested in meeting people from around the world and all walks of life, and that makes a huge difference. Their home is beautiful, clean (brand new), quiet and secluded. It’s also nice to have a continental breakfast provided – such a rare treat on Airbnb these days. I would choose to stay there again in a heartbeat.

We loved our stay here. Noelle and Debra were amazing hosts. They were kind, friendly, and very helpful. While staying in Herne Hill meant extra time on the train each day, we felt it was more than worth it. It is a lovely community and much more relaxing than the center of London. Great places to eat and a large beautiful park. Our room and bathroom were very comfortable. It is on the third floor so there are a few interesting angles in the room as it is tucked up under the roof. My husband is 6 ft. tall and had to be aware to not bump his head. I being short had no problems. The bed is comfortable and the windows provide good cross breezes, which was important as we were there during some very hot weather. The excellent shower was appreciated after a long hot day of site seeing. It really felt like coming home at the end of each busy day. I would highly recommend a stay with Noelle and Debra.

We loved having you both - you were perfect guests! Hope the rest of your trip was equally good. You make our house sound taller than it is - we call that second floor! All the best.
