Other things to note

Grundtvigskirken is a national monument dedicated to the Danish psalm writer Grundtvig. The construction of this church started in 1921 and was not completed until 1940, because of the death of the architect, P.V. Jensen-Klint. The result is an oversized, typical village church, known for its great number of yellow-white bricks. Six bricklayers put their life's work into this building. The church functions as a common National Church. When you see this church for the first time, it's really breathtaking. Walk towards it and watch it grow larger and larger in size - it's quite an experience. It is situated on top of a hill that is the highest point of Copenhagen. This part of town, Bispebjerg, is northwest of Serne. If you are willing to leave the center of Copenhagen to see a great Danish monument, this is where you should go.

Really nice apartment in an extrordinary quarter of Copenhagen with a very special charme. Nice and helpful host. It could be a little closer to the city center, but the bus connection is quite good (30 minutes without interchachage)

I enjoyed staying at Mette's apartment. The location was great. It wasn't right in the center of things, which meant it was nice and quiet, but it was just around the corner from the bus stop, so it was very easy to get into central Copenhagen. The apartment was clean and comfortable. It's worth noting that there is not a full kitchen. There is no oven or stove, just a portable "hotplate" with two burners you can plug in on the counter. That was really the only negative about my stay here, as I was staying for two weeks. All in all, I enjoyed my stay and would recommend it to other travelers who want a quiet place to stay for a short time.

Mette’s cosy apartment was the perfect base for our Copenhagen visit: Very comfortable, quiet and relaxed - but only a short bicycle trip from Copenhagen centrum. We enjoyed the view into the peaceful and leafy inner courtyard while sitting in the well equipped kitchen with our morning coffee. We also appreciated the nice bathroom with the excellent shower. Mette gave us a warm welcome and explained everything to us, giving also an overview on the surrounding area and the directions to the city and the next bicycle docking stations. We also got tips for bicycle trips to the surroundings and Mette was always available for questions and support. Discovering Copenhagen without a bicycle is almost impossible ;) In case you're not able to bring your own, you might want to rent one. One possibility are the gobikes from (URL HIDDEN) which are pick up & drop off e-bikes with integrated navigation tablets: Heavy like hell and more for cruising than racing, but absolutely ok for city & country trips when the own bike had to stay at home. You should create your (EMAIL HIDDEN) before using a gobike the first time - and check out the price options: The "Pay as you go" might be not the cheapest option for your needs. From Mette’s apartment, the next (URL HIDDEN) docking station is not far away and easy to find: Just walk east down the hill to the big street (Tuborgvej) and then follow this street to the left until you reach Emdrup station after a short walk. There you'll see the white gobikes.

Nice location. A bit far from the center, but has the advantage of the lovely quiet surrounding- nearby lake, bautiful church. Mette gave us the useful tip to register Bycyklen system in advance, so we could easily discover the city from harbours to castles. The nearest docking site within 10 minutes walk. Her flat is well equipped and comfortable. We had a wonderful stay in her flat!

Mette was available for guidance and questions and offered many suggestions. The church was beautiful to see and the courtyard was homey. It was a bit out of town but never had to wait more than a few minutes for a bus.
