>>Amazing views all year round- over the garden and to the mountains, you can often hear the Bavarian cowbells from the meadow across from us.
>>You can cross-country ski from the door out to the track.
>>There are lots of beautiful walks around the area as well and the famous lake Eibsee, is 6km's away from the house. Where there are rowboats and pedal boats available for hire. You can take your togs and towel and swim at the lake or ride the picturesque train to the Zugspitze base and then either take the train through the tunnel up to Germany's highest mountain the Zugspitze (2,962m) or take the cable car up.
>>The cable car has the world’s highest steelwork pylon for aerial tramways at 127 metres, the worlds greatest overall height difference of 1,945 metres over one section, as well as the world’s longest unsupported cableway span of 3,213 metres.
>>Up at the Zugspitze you can walk around and enjoy the panoramas and stand on the Austrian side too.
>>In Winter you can ski, toboggan, visit the chapel on the mountain and visit the ice hotel and bar.
>>The Alpspitze mountain also has a beautiful cable car and hanging viewing platform, this is a 1.5km walk from the house.

•June -White Night, Garmisch- Partenkirchen (GAP). There is a 600m long table through the pedestrian zone of Garmisch with music and bands. Dress code White.
•July-BMW Motorrad days at the Hausberg (Big parties with beer tents and motorbike displays, talks and shows).
•End of July-Garmischer Festwoche at Wittelsbacher Park: Folkfest (similar to Oktoberfest) with traditional music, beer, and Bavarian dancing in the beer tent. Dress code: Dirndls & Lederhosen.

❆Ski Season Garmisch- Classic (708m- 2,050m), usually November- April. 40km of skiable slopes with 18 lifts. Famous Kandahar-run with a 900m vertical drop over the 3.7km run. The world downhill record for this is less than 2minutes.
❆Ski Season Zugspitze (2,000m-2,720m ski terrain, Height 2,962m)-November- May. 6 lifts plus two cable cars and a train to access the mountain. 20km of Skiable terrain. Beautiful Powder skiing, toboggan hire and runs, chapel viewing, ice hotel and bar.
❆Ski Season Tirol: November-April. Ehrwalder Almbahn, Lermoos, Biberweir,and Bichlbach ski fields are all 20-30minutes drive away.
❆Night Sledging Tuesdays and Fridays at the Ehrwalder Almbahn.
Cross Country Ski track just at the end of the driveway to the right and left.

Unser Platz ist ein 2-stöckiges Haus mit einem Keller. Die Aussicht ist fantastisch mit Blick auf die Berge das ganze Jahr. Es ist in Grainau, 10 Minuten von Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Es ist mit meiner Opa (Grandad) Kunstwerk geschmückt. Das Erdgeschoss hat einen Eingangsbereich mit Garderoben, WC, Küche, zwei Esstische, Leder-Lounge-Suite (Ein neues Ecksofa April 2022) und Sofa im Wohnzimmer mit TV, Sonnenzimmer mit Sonnenliegen, Putzschrank, Garage, Tisch mit Stühlen und Grill und ein schönes großer Garten. Das Haus ist eine lange Auffahrt mit schönen Nachbarn geteilt. Platz für ein Auto in der Garage und eins vor der Garage sowie auf der Straße. Treppen für den Zugang zum Obergeschoss und Keller.
Herd, Mikrowelle, Kühlschrank, Gefrierschrank, Backofen, Wasserkocher, Toaster, Kaffeepulver, Kaffeefilter, Kaffee und Tee, Schneidebretter, Geschirr, Besteck, Weingläser, Tassen. WLAN und TV.

Oben hat das Waxenstein Zimmer das Hauptschlafzimmer mit Blick auf den Waxenstein Berg mit Balkonzugang vom Zimmer und Flur, ein großes Bett 180x200cm mit Nachttischen, Lampen, Stuhl, Kunst, zwei Ankleideräume und Schränke mit einem Haartrockner und Handtücher geliefert.

König Ludwig Schlafzimmer mit Blick auf Garmisch-Partenkirchen und den Kramer Berg 160cm x200cm mit Nachttischen, Couch und Seitenlicht. Es gibt auch eine Toilette im Obergeschoss.
Alle Zimmer haben Bettwäsche, große deutsche Kissen (80x80cm), Heizung, Decken und Wärmflaschen bei Bedarf.

Keller [1 Schlafzimmer und Waschmachine]:
Der Keller verfügt über eine Waschmaschine und Trockner mit einem Wäscheständer, Trockenraum für Ski und Boots, wo die Ölheizung ist, und einen großen Holzraum, wo es zwei Einzelbetten ungefahr 90 x 200cm mit Nachttischen und Lampen sowie einige Spiele gibt. Es gibt auch ein Sofa und einen Arbeitstisch und Stuhl. Es macht ein gut kinder zimmer. Kleine Luftfenster im Keller zimmer mit keiner aussicht. Sehr großes zimmer.

You can access the entire house apart from the Private room which is locked and the garden shed is also locked.
PLEASE DO NOT ENTER THE NEIGHBOURS PRIVATE PROPERTY. That is anything past our house on the left side, the rest of the private driveway is their private place and needs to be respected. Please do not use their area as a turn around bay, we have our own driveway for that.
Other things to note
Please treat this house with respect as you would your own home. It was my grandparents house which they treasured and it is my second home. The neighbours are all very lovely but please respect their privacy and private properties.
EXTRA CITY TAX FEE for Grainau Card (not included in any airbnb booking fees-collected in Cash during your stay). Grainau requires all guests to pay an extra city tax, like Dubai and Florence. We collect this at check in or check out. It allows you to use the guest cards for the area with lots of great benefits, you get one free swimming pool entry per vacation week, free eibsee to garmisch bus, free trainline to the Eibsee as well and some local concerts etc. We will ask for your full names, addresses and Date of Birth’s to register for the card.
The EXTRA COST per night, per person; Adult EUR 3.50, Child 6-15.9years EUR 1 per night. Please have this in cash on arrival or check out to give to my co-host Anneliese.
