Great place to spend the night. Would definitely want to stay longer in future. Jim was very welcoming!

Jim and Shannon provide a rare offering of warm, genuine hospitality amidst a spectacular riverside, colonial home. They are some of the sweetest people! The whole experience was above-and-beyond. To name a few examples: I had to check-in earlier than normal and they were more than happy to accommodate, even when they wouldn't be home when I arrived. Their home was spotless, the communication was timely and respectful, and they even offered sweet touches including baked goods to round out that colonial "southern hospitality." The home itself was STUNNING. Along the riverside, colonial on the outside, and well-furnished and clean. I highly recommend this place, especially for the value and interacting with lovely hosts!

This spot is a fine room with aprivate bath and very comfortable bed. There is a common room right outside with a nice big TV. This rental is full of nice little "touches" the slice of really tasty breakfast bread laid out on a silver tray in the BR, a nice tray of snacks on the coffee table, a small fridge, and a Keurig coffee maker. WiFi works great, and there is a dock down on the York River, which the house faces, where you can sit on Adirondack chairs and watch her flow by. Jim and Shannon were wonderful hosts, and great people into the bargain. (I believe I slept better in that bed than any hotel room I have yet been in). Clean, and neat as a pin. I'd surely go back, if you are looking for a quiet spot to just get away for a while in an idyllic and serene place, this is it.

Jim and Shannon were amazing hosts. We were only in town for the night, but they have a beautiful home and it was clear to us how kind and thoughtful they were. We’d recommend this place to our friends and may even come back ourselves!

Overlooking the serene and peaceful York River, Jim and Shannon's home is a quiet and clean place to get away and unwind. It's also close enough to Williamsburg to encourage visiting there which we did. The home is spotless and inviting. A walk down to their private dock ends in a wonderful view.

Jim and Shannon were the best hosts we could have asked for. Their home is absolutely stunning--one of the best parts of our vacation was simply having our coffee while overlooking the river. Shannon went above and beyond setting the room up for us and the small touches she made had us feeling truly welcomed. They are two of the kindest, most hospitable people you will meet and they have definitely set the bar high for all of our future Airbnb experiences!

Retired couple likes to travel and be with our grandchildren! We love our home on the York River and enjoy sharing the peace, tranquility, and strength we experience everyday on the river! We do like to travel and we know when guests are away from home, they need a clean, comfort…
