Edith is an amazing host! She did everything she could to help us and make us feel at home, which was much appreciated considering that we hadn't planned much (not recommendable in a place like Seychelles!). The place is ok for a budget holiday, but if you're looking for something more private/intimate maybe it's not the best choice. The view from the terrace is beautiful, but considering the location it's much easier to reach it by car.

we are a family-house and cannot offer privacy outside of the room, since we life here. But then again - remember we give up a lot of privacy ourselves... but it was great to have you here and who knows - one day ??

Edith was very helpful and informative especially when we were planning our itinerary. The view from her rooftop kitchen/dining area is excellent. Location was very convenient for the Airport and the Ferry.

Edith is a nice lady who picked us up from the airport and showed us the island for an affordable price. The room and the bathroom are simple and nice, there is no soap in the bathroom, so it's better to have one in the luggage. The four dogs are living on the terrace and in the living room, so there it's quite smelly and two dogs don't have a good behavior (they jumped at us and scratched our legs). The refrigerator smelled strongly like fish, so all our food smelled like fish. We missed the privacy, it's hard to be on Seychelles as a couple and not to get an opportunity to spend an evening as a couple.

Response from Edward:
We are not a five star hotel and so far no one was expecting to have soaps in the bathroom. The terrace is open........ We gave you some instructions on the beginning about the dogs - you did not follow...... Do not understand your comment about the privacy.... it's a family-house, you rented a room to an affordable price and we left you alone on the terrace!

We have passed the most fantastic time with this family. The landlords are very special, kind and lovely. We felt with them like at home. The huge terrace is always available fo the guests. The different kind of music and warm atmosphere we miss already, with them we discovered this island differently. We really recommend to start the trip in Seychelles with this wonderful family.

Edith was a fantastic host! She cares a lot for you and that's why it feels like home. The room and bathroom was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Because we only had 4 days we asked for an island round trip with her. She showed us the best places and it was amazing to see this paradies in different ways and not only in a touristic way.  Although it takes you about 40min to the next beach (bus stop is around the corner) it doesn't feel that long because there are so many things to see.  Edward is also very friendly and a funny guy. He cooked us a real creol food and it was sooo delicious!!! We definitely would visit them again! PS: If you want to make her really happy bring her some walnuts or pine nuts ;-)

Response from Edward:
Oh, thank you Nicole! Yes, always like to have to nuts, since so difficult to get here... As per you as a guest - really enjoyed every minute and looking forward to seeing you again at Copolia....

Edwards and Ediths place was such a good start to my Seychel-experience. Although she didn't knew my exact arrival time - neither did I - I was warmly welcomed, at the time when I badly needed it, half dead - half alive, after a long trip and not being able to sleep for two nights. Edith did her best to make me feel comfortable, she gave me good suggestions where to go and what to see, helped with transportation etc. At the evenings we had great conversations of about everything. And the view at the breakfast - that IS amazing. Get up early, so you'll see the sunrise. This is East coast so don't expect seeing sunsets. Mangos and fruitbats are flying through the air, it's exotic there! At some nights dogs were barking in the neighborhood, be warned. Nevertheless, I had a good 'basecamp' to my Mahe-exploration. This is not at the beach but there is a local bus straight to the door, so access is easy.

I'm Seychellois and my wife is Swiss... we love Seychelles and can tell you a lot about this islands. If you wish, we show you around and since we like cooking, we could even show you the creole way of eating. And if you need a massage - just tell us we can organize...
