Spacious (550 sq ft), cute, clean, quiet guest house at rear of owner-occupied home in “White-Hot West Adams”. Stand-alone cottage is well furnished, has all essentials, plus shared use of lovely back yard and patio. Located at West Adams/Culver City border, offers easy access to dining and entertainment. Short drive from LAX, convenient to 405 and 10 freeways, and near both metro and bus stops. Easy check-in, and no ‘chore list’ on check-out, just leave key and parking permit.

The space
Nicely decorated interior, with lovely art and a sweet little reading nook (recliner, reading lamp, and small collection of short books). Almost always cool with lovely breezes, if the shades/windows are left open. Lovely garden that includes over 40 varieties of fruit trees (all labeled), bee-loving ornamentals, California-native plants, succulent collections, and a small herb garden (please help yourself). Multiple outdoor seating areas, including the patio bistro table and cushioned lounge chairs, the "loners chair" with coffee cup perch, the day bed lounge area appointed with fluffy pillows and a cozy throw, and the zen garden bench.

NOTE: I work hard to attract pollinators to my garden (honey bees, bumble bees, mason bees, butterflies, hummingbirds). If you don’t like these things or are allergic to bees, my guest house might not be a good fit for you.

Guest access
All of guest house- if you are looking for more of something, please open cabinets and explore. Fans, iron, larger coffee maker, puzzles, safety supplies, cleaning supplies ... all are tucked away in cabinets, but they are there for you to use.

Feel free to explore the grounds and the garden, and please feel free to enjoy the different seating areas and the gas grill -- it would make me happy.

Very strict NO SMOKING policy. No smoking of any kind inside guest house or on property.

Parking in Los Angeles is very difficult and very expensive most places, so Uber/Lyft is my recommendation for most guests. If you do chose to drive, please note that Los Angeles tickets aggressively, so you should be very careful to obey all posted parking regulations.

Free street parking is available in my neighborhood. Guests will be given a permit to hang in their window during their stay. If guests are unable to find an available space on my street, I typically allow them to park in the driveway with me. LA = crowed city = tandem parking in driveways = parking in the driveway with me requires a little extra communication, so that no one gets trapped inside at an inconvenient time. But this is usually not a big deal or much of a hassle.

WARNING:
Monday = street sweeping day on my side of street from 10am-12pm.
Tuesday = street sweeping day on the opposite side of the street from 10am-12pm.
