Self-built in July 2018 this traditional style Shepherd's Hut faces a beautiful organic flower and veg garden, surrounded by trees.

Private outhouse with hot shower and separate compost loo. Outdoor seating.

Close to historic market town of Biggar, River Clyde, and Culter Fell hill. Cornhill Castle 2 mins by car. Dawyck Botanic Gardens , Stobo Castle Spa 20 minutes by car. Edinburgh 40 mins, Glasgow 50mins.

The space
This is a bright, clean, comfortable and compact space. Ideal for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers on a budget. We provide fresh towels, bed linen, kindling and logs for the wood-burning stove. There is no mains power in the hut (low current USB power for mobiles available via solar battery in hut) but we are happy to charge laptops or tablets overnight in the main house. There are no cooking facilities with the stove other than kettle boiling and croissant toasting! The outdoor WC has a cold water tap only but the Shower Room is gas heated hot water
