A restored Victorian fisherman's cottage with views over Folkestone's picturesque harbour and the English Channel, all the way to France. The house is quiet and private, with four comfortable bedrooms, a separate living room and a sunny garden. It is located steps from the harbour, with its popular restaurants and the renowned creative quarter, where you can lose yourself in the quaint shops and galleries. Sunny Sands beach and the magnificent Leas promenade are a few minutes' walk away.

The space
The cottage was built in 1899, during Folkestone's heyday as a premier holiday destination, and housed fishermen for generations. It has been recently restored and is now a warm and comfortable home, with four bedrooms, a large bathroom with tub and standalone shower, and a fully equipped kitchen complete with dishwasher and washer-dryer. All the rooms at the front of the house have sea views, and you can also see the sea from the garden at the back. The advertised price includes all bed linen and bath towels for 6 people. We offer a discount for guests who bring their own bed linen and towels. Send me a message to find out more about this.
A note about our cancellation policy in 2021: During the Covid-19 pandemic, we will provide full a refund if guests are unable to travel due to government restrictions, such as a new lockdown.

Folkestone, England, United Kingdom

Tucked away in a modern residential neighbourhood, the house is steps from Folkestone's historic harbour, which is undergoing regeneration. Visit the creative quarter, with its unique boutiques, cafes and galleries, and the Harbour Arm, open all summer for al fresco dining and free musical events. Sunny Sands beach is five minutes' walk from the house, perfect for families, and a short walk in the other direction is the grand Leas promenade, running above miles of empty shingle beach and the popular Coastal Park.

Folkestone has so much to offer holiday makers. Walk along the cliffs to Dover, find fossils on the wide open beaches of the Warren, or blow away the cobwebs with a hike on the Kent Downs. All these experiences are a short walk from our house. Further afield, explore the picturesque towns of Rye, Deal and Sandwich, or the historic city of Canterbury. Visit spectacular Leeds Castle or the gardens at Sissinghurst. All the sites of Kent can be enjoyed in a day trip from Folkestone.
